- The master’s degree in chemistry is research-oriented. The classic study of chemistry has been modernized by modules on current topics such as chemical energy conversion and supramolecular chemistry and can be supplemented by a wide range of elective courses according to your own interests.
- Numerous elective modules are offered in different subject areas. No other Saxon university offers modules such as “environmental and raw materials chemistry”, “semiconductor chemistry”, “silicon chemistry” or “salt, mineral and building materials chemistry”.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of German: A1 when applying, DSH-2 for studying.
- Alternatives to the DSH exam: You do not have to take the DSH exam if you can show one of the following certificates:
- "German Language Diploma" of the Minister of Education Conference - Level II (DSD II).
- Passed the "Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung" (ZOP) of the Goethe Institute.
- "Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom" or "Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom".
- Test "German as a foreign language" (Test DaF), level 4 in all areas.
- Passed German part of the assessment test.
- telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule.
