Tripura JEE Exam Pattern 2023 would be based on the new examination pattern introduced in the 2022 iteration of the exam. Instead of attending 4 different shifts over the period of 2 days, the students now have to attend 3 shifts on a single day. For the first time, 1/4th (i.e. 1 mark ) Negative marking has been introduced in the exam. Also now, each question would be of 4 marks instead of being of 2 marks. The exam will still be conducted offline i.e. paper-based mode only.
Tripura JEE comprises of Multiple Choice Questions which are asked from the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Candidates can appear for a minimum number of three subjects and the maximum number of subjects is four.
The following table shows the examination pattern of TRIPURA JEE 2023 exam:
Exam Pattern Highlights | |
---|---|
Exam Mode | Offline (Pen and Paper-based) |
Number of Papers | 3 |
Number of Sections | Physics + Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology |
Question Paper Type | Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) |
TJEEE 2023 Total Marks | 120 marks each subject i.e. 480 in Total |
Marks per Question | 4 |
Negative Marking | Yes; ¼ (1 mark) for each wrong question |
Exam duration | First Shift (1 hour 30 minutes); Rest Shifts (45 minutes) |
Tripura JEE exam pattern is set by Tripura Board of JEE. The examination pattern tells about the number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme, examination duration etc. Students must know about the examination pattern before start preparing for the exam.
The candidates would be divided into three groups A, B, and C. The details of which are as follows:
Group Code | Selected Course | Exam Subjects |
---|---|---|
Group - A | Engineering / Technological Degree Courses | Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics |
Group - B | Medical / Agricultural / Veterinary / Fishery etc. | Physics, Chemistry, and Biology |
Group - C | Both Group – A & B | Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology |
The following table shows the tabular representation of Tripura JEE 2023:
Subjects | Number of Questions | Marks | Total Marks |
---|---|---|---|
Physics | 30 | 4 | 120 |
Chemistry | 30 | 4 | 120 |
Mathematics | 30 | 4 | 120 |
Biology | 30 | 4 | 120 |
For the first time, negative marking has been introduced in Tripura JEE. TJEE 2023 Marking scheme is as follows:
Marks per Question | 4 |
Negative Marking | Yes; ¼ (1 mark) for each wrong question |
Every candidate can check or download the examination syllabus of Tripura JEE 2023 from the official website of Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination. Students must go through each and every topic of the syllabus. The questions in the paper are asked from the XI and XII subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Students have to select any three subjects for the paper and the paper is divided into three groups i.e. Group A, B and C.
For Technical degree courses, candidates have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics i.e. (Group A) while, Veterinary or Agriculture courses, candidates have to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Biology i.e. (Group B). On the other hand, Group C candidates will have to appear for all the 4 subjects.
