IIM CAP 2023 Participating IIMs

9 IIMs are participating in IIM CAP 2023. Every year, one of these 9 IIMs gets the opportunity to conduct the IIM CAP process. Before 2019, IIM Rohtak was also a part of the CAP process. Now, it conducts its own PI rounds and carries out the selection process. The list of IIMs participating in IIM CAP 2023 is provided below along with the links to check the admission criteria and other details.

IIM CAP 2023 Registration Process

IIM CAP 2023 Registration is the first step to apply for MBA admission in the 9 participating institutes. Only candidates who opted the CAP IIM institutes are only eligible to fill CAP Application Form 2023. The steps to apply for IIM CAP 2023 are provided here for your convenience:

• Visit the official IIM CAP website- cap2023.iimu.ac.in
• Click on ‘New Registration’ or ‘Login’ under the Login/ Register section.
• For new registration, enter your CAT ID, Email ID, and Date of Birth and then click on ‘Register Now’
• If already registered, then login with your CAT ID and password.
• Enter personal, academic, and other details asked.
• Upload the documents in the prescribed format for successful registration
• Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Documents Required for IIM CAP 2023 Registration

The below mentioned documents need to be uploaded in IIM CAP 2023 Application Form. The file size should not be greater than 1.5 MB and the documents should be in either .jpg, or .jpeg, or .png, or .pdf, or .docx, or .doc format.

• Photograph
• Signature
• Photo ID proof
• CAT 2022 Scorecard
• Class 10 and 12 marksheet with a pass certificate
• Graduation related certificates:
  • Graduation mark sheet of all semesters/ years.
  • Degree Certificate is required for candidates who have completed the graduation before 2021.
  • A Provisional Degree Certificate is required for those who have completed the graduation in 2022 but have not received the degree certificate yet.
  • Final year students need to upload the bonafide certificate as per the format prescribed.
  • Certificate and mark sheets of any other degree-Masters/Professional Qualification as mentioned in the CAP application form.
• Work Experience (If any):
  • Candidates need to provide the work experience certificate and relieving letter for all the past organizations worked in.
  • For those presently working, a service certificate from the current organization with the seal and signature is required.
  • In case of non-availability of a service certificate, provide the offer letter with the payslips of the first month and the latest two (2) months.

IIM CAP 2023 Shortlisting Criteria: Qualifying CAT 2022 Cut off

IIM CAP 2023 Shortlisting Criteria is the minimum qualifying CAT 2022 Cut off that the candidates need to get. This year’s CAT 2022 Cut off for IIM CAP is provided in the table below:

IIM CAP 2023 Process

IIM CAP 2023 Process includes 3 major stages- shortlisting for PI, conducting the online PI round for registered shortlisted candidates, and preparation of final merit list.

CAT Result Declaration: 15-20 days after the declaration of CAT Result, IIM begins the IIM CAP selection process for the candidates who selected the IIM CAP colleges during CAT 2022 registration.

IIM CAP Online Registration: Eligible candidates need to register online on the official website of IIM CAP to get the PI call.

PI Calls: Candidates who have filled IIM CAP application form and meet the shortlist cut off criteria of the respective IIMs will receive an email regarding the details of the date, time and venue for their Personal Interview.

PI round: For the past few years, IIM CAP colleges are not conducting the WAT round but only the PI round. Now, the PI round is conducted online on the official website of the CAP conducting IIM.

Final Merit List: After the conclusion of the interview round, each institute prepares its own merit list based on their individual selection criteria. The admission offers are made by the respective institutes to the selected candidates.

IIM CAP 2023 Personal Interview (PI)

For attending the online PI rounds, candidates have to follow the below mentioned guidelines laid down by last year’s IIM CAP coordinating institute. These are subject to change as per the directions of IIM Udaipur and the same will be notified here.

Network and Hardware Requirements for IIM CAP Online Personal Interview

• Desktop/Laptop with camera
• Headphone
• Microphone
• High-speed Internet connection
• Stable network connectivity
• Stationery: Blank sheets, pens, pencils, etc.
• Zoom application software
• A white or a clear background for better visibility
• Photo ID for online verification

IIM CAP PI Process: Important Instructions for Shortlisted Candidates

• To take the online personal interview, join using the Zoom link on the designated IIM CAP PI date and time.
• The PI round will be held in 2 slots- join by 9:30 am for slot 1 and by 1:30 pm for slot 2.
• Make sure that you are alone in the room during the PI round.
• Keep your audio and video on throughout the PI session.
• Do not use any recording devices during the online PI session.

IIM CAP 2023 Final Merit List Preparation

The Final Merit List will be prepared by each of the CAP 2023 participating IIMs based on their respective admission policy. The final selection criteria of the 9 CAP IIMs post the common PI process is tabulated below:
