HPCET 2023 Result will be declared after the exam by Himachal Pradesh Technical University on the official website- himtu.ac.in. Candidates can view results by entering roll number and name. After the results, candidates will be called for counselling process if they surpass a minimum cutoff criterion set by HIMTU.

HPCET 2023 Result is expected will be declared after the exam. Candidate can view their result through the official website of HIMTU right after the declaration of results.
The result of HPCET 2023 does not directly entitle a candidate to have admission to any course. Candidates have to separately fill out the forms regarding the course candidates wish to get admission in.

To get admission in various courses being offered by HIMTU under HPCET 2023, the candidate has to clear certain cut off which is set by HIMTU itself.
The cut-off is completely relative and is subject to changes year by year. However, there are certain factors that affect the cut-off score. These factors are:

In case two or more students have an equal number of marks in HPCET 2023, the university uses tie-breaker criteria which serve the purpose of selecting a candidate in such a situation. The criteria are different for different courses. The following table may sum up the criteria used for breaking the tie:-

B.Tech, B.Pharma, B.Pharma (Ayurveda) | For candidates applying through HPCET 2023, if aggregate marks are the same for any two or more candidates, candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given preference over other candidates. Further, if marks in Physics are the same, then marks of Chemistry would be used as the tiebreaker. In case the tie still does not get resolved, marks of the remaining third subject will be used for breaking the tie. Candidates with higher marks in such subjects will be preferred. Now if even after the use of marks of the third subject, the tie has not got broken, then simply, the candidate with higher age will be preferred. |
If a candidate is applying for admission on the basis of Qualifying Exam – Class 12 marks, and aggregate marks of any two or more candidates are the same, then-candidate with higher age will be preferred over others. | |
B.Tech/B. Pharmacy.-Lateral Entry | If a candidate is applying for admission on the basis of respective Diploma marks, and aggregate marks of any two or more candidates are the same, then-candidate with higher age will be preferred over others. |
Master of Technology (M. Tech) | If two or more candidates have the same aggregate marks in HPCET 2023, then-candidate with higher marks in the Aptitude section of HPCET 2023 will be preferred over other candidates. Further, if marks of Aptitude sections are the same, then-candidate with higher marks in the Mathematics section will be preferred for admission. If marks of both Mathematics and Aptitude section are the same, then-candidate with higher age will be given admission. |
Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharmacy) | If candidates are applying on the basis of HPCET 2023 marks, and aggregate marks of two or more candidates are the same, then-candidate with the higher scores in the concerned subject – Part B of HPCET 2023 will be selected for admission. Further, if marks in the concerned subject are also equal, then-candidate with higher age will be preferred for admission. |
If candidates are applying on the basis of Qualifying Degree – B.Pharmacy and aggregate marks of two or more candidates are the same, then the elder candidate will be preferred for admission. | |
M.B.A & M.C.A –Direct Entry | If candidates are applying on the basis of HPCET 2023 or any other national level exam, and two or more candidates have equal aggregate marks in such test, then-candidate with the higher scores in Verbal Ability will be preferred over others. Further, if marks in the Verbal Ability section are the same, then-candidate with higher marks in Quantitative Ability will be selected. In case the marks of both these sections are the same, then-candidate with higher marks in Data Interpretation will be preferred for admission. In case the sectional score in all the three sections is the same, then-candidate with higher age will be preferred for admission. |

After the declaration of the result of HPCET 2023, HIMTU starts conducting the counseling process for various courses being offered by it.
