BSc Animation or Bachelor of Science in Animation course deals with providing knowledge regarding basic traditional animation to sophisticated 3D animation and filmmaking. The 3 years six semesters course is offered at a few institutes in India. The B.Sc. course will not help young artists with technical skills but also with creativity and imagination. 

 The animation will get better in the future. In the past, we watched movies only in 2D animation, but now we can watch them in 3D and in virtual reality. BSc Animation First Year Subjects

  • Elements of Information Technology- This includes an introduction to computers, Algorithms and flowcharts, HTML, Page Layout & Navigation in HTML and Windows operating environments.
  • Introduction to Programming Languages -Students will learn more about C Programming, Functions, Arrays, Strings, Pointers, Pointers and arrays, Arrays of pointers function pointers. 

BSc Animation Second Year Subjects 

  • 3-D Animation-I. - You will learn to create computerized objects that look 3D even though they're on a 2D surface and the process of creating moving three-dimensional images in a digital context. 
  • Color Theory - The color theory is both the science and art of using color. It explains properly how humans perceive color; and the visual effects of how colors mix, match or contrast with each other. The color theory also teaches the messages colors communicate to humans, and the methods used to replicate color. It will give you a good knowledge about color Psychology.and the history of colors.
  • Technical English – II - It will help the students to develop communication skills effectively, prepare for advanced grammar skills and enhance their vocabulary in English.

BSc Animation Third-Year Subjects 

  • Visual Effects –I : Visual effects (sometimes abbreviated as VFX) is the process by which imagery is created or manipulated outside the context of a live-action shot in filmmaking and video production. The integration of live-action footage and other live-action footage or CGI elements to create realistic imagery is called VFX.
  • Digital Editing & Motion Graphics –II Learn new, advanced skills using After Effects.

BSc Animation Entrance Exam Syllabus

  • There are no particular entrance exams for BSc Animation courses that are conducted for admission to the course.
  • Students with a good score at 10+2 level can take admissions to any college that provides a BSc Animation course.
  • A few colleges are there that conduct aptitude tests of the already shortlisted candidates to check their knowledge level. 

The entrance exam required for BSc Animation is CUET. The Common University Entrance Test or CUET 2022 is a national-level entrance test introduced for admission into all UG programs..
