Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery is a distinguished Private college in the Indian city of Jaipur. The IIGJ Jaipur offers a full-time and 48-month duration Bachelor of Design Degree course at the UG level, a 12-month Post Graduate Diploma, 3 months - 1-year Diploma programs, and short-term Certificate courses in various specializations, details for which are given below.

The Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery has a spacious, avant-garde, and highly advanced campus with all kinds of basic and cutting-edge facilities. Infrastructure is upgraded every year to make sure that the latest technologies can be used to educate students about the changing business dynamics. The Institute building has been constructed on the 4536 square meters of land provided by RIICO in the Sitapura Industrial area. Apart from this, the college location being Jaipur further allows young minds to explore the culture and heritage of the city via places like Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Amber Palace, and Johri Bazar, etc.

Advanced Classrooms: The college has developed modern, hi-tech, well-ventilated, and spacious lecture halls on its campus. All the classrooms are equipped with Projectors, smart boards, comfortable seating arrangements, enough lighting, cameras, and audio-video devices. Laboratories: Just as an institution is incomplete without teachers, so are the studies without hands-on exposure. Hence the following labs have been built in the college. 

  • Manufacturing Laboratory: This lab has been developed keeping in mind the global standards. It is primarily used for model making, Pre-casting & casting, and stone setting with workbench, tools, equipment & machinery.
  • Gemology laboratory: The key purpose of this lab is to help students analyze and identify the value and authenticity of gemstones. Along with this, they get to learn about the valuations and diamond grading process.
  • Computer-aided Design Laboratory: This lab is equipped with 50 computers, and the latest software in each to allow individuals to work with the sophisticated 2-D & 3-D design.
  • Computer Lab: To make students digitally proficient, a big Computer Lab has been built on the institution's campus. The latest computer systems are installed here and each has required design software and applications. Both students and teachers come here regularly to do online research, finish their assignments, and make PPTs, etc.

Multipurpose Hall and Auditorium: A multipurpose hall also exists in the college and is mainly used to conduct subject lectures, expert lectures, presentations, departmental activities, exhibitions, speeches, music performances, and workshops. Then there is a full-fledged Auditorium where events and activities including seminars, conferences, and cultural fests are carried out by the college committees from time to time in collaboration with experts. All facilities including audio-visual equipment, the latest public addressing, LCD projectors, slide projectors, and comfortable seating arrangements are available at both places.

Playgrounds: Enough arrangements have been made for IIGJ’s students to play and enjoy games like Basketball, Badminton, Football, and Cricket. Medical Facility: The IIGJ has a dedicated Medical Room with a basic healthcare kit to assist both students and staff in case of any medical emergency. Services like Doctor consultations and prescriptions are also available here for those who need it.

Canteen: An aesthetic and vast Cafeteria has been established in the college premises to provide freshly prepared, delicious, and highly nutritious foods, and snacks to both students and staff members at an affordable price. All the foods are prepared under extremely hygienic conditions, and supervision of the college staff to ensure people remain away from any kind of disease. The canteen is also the space where students come to rejuvenate themselves and have informal talks with their peers, and seniors.

Hostels: To provide a home-like ambiance to students away from their homes, separate accommodation facilities spreading over an area of 3500 square meters, have been built by the college for both girls and boys. These Hostels were inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister Shri. Ashok Gehlot on 2nd November 2019, and each can accommodate at most 250 students at a time.
