The duration of the course shall be 3 (three) year + one year compulsory internship. After the 3rd year, students have to do a compulsory rotating internship in various specialty departments for one year.

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or Examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology separately and 50% marks in Physics Chemistry and Biology put together.
