For lateral entry, the candidate must pass class 12 with one of the following conditions:

12th Std. examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics

• 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the Subjects)
• 12th Science with Vocational
• 12th Science with Technical
• 10th + 2 years ITI /MCVC (Minimum Competency and Vocational Courses) with appropriate trade

For lateral entry students, class 12th marks are considered for proving admission in Vidyalankar Polytechnic Diploma.
