The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is a philanthropic establishment, founded in 1931 committed to research and training in the field of gemology and the adornments expressions and situated in Carlsbad, California.
The institute is headquartered in Carlsbad, California, and operates out of 13 countries, with 11 campuses, 9 laboratories, and 4 research centers worldwide. Two of its branches are situated in India at Surat and Mumbai.
GIA offers four Diploma Programs and six Certificate Programs for different durations. To be eligible for the same, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification and must be over 18 years of age.
Admission is granted on the basis of merit and the submission of application form with the requisite fee and documents.
