Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should meet the following criteria.
- Bachelor’s /Master’s degree from a recognized University with atleast 50% marks in aggregate(47.5% in case of SC/ST/Blind/Physically Handicapped candidates) OR 55% in case of BE/B.Tech(52.25% in case of SC /ST /Blind/Physically Handicapped candidates) as per directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
- Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.
- Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face- to-face mode.
- Only in service teachers working in any Recognized Government/Aided/Private School/Educational Institution are eligible.

Apart from IGNOU, no other university offers decent corresponding B.Ed degrees. It is better to join a regular B.Ed course in your nearest possible university or college. Regular B.Ed courses will teach you how to give micro lessons in a school.
Attend classes frequently, if you can’t be present every day. Courses such as B.Ed are best to do in regular mode. Because recommendations of the B.Ed professors, the grade and response of the actual school where you taught, will count.
