ITMI Admissions

Admission to all the courses is on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination conducted by the institute. The college follows an online mode of application. 

How To Apply?

  • Purchase the application form either from the institute or online through the official website-https://www.indiatoday.in/itmi/.
  • Pay the registration fee of INR 1200 which is nonrefundable to purchase the application form.
  • Fill out the application form and attach the necessary documents along with it.
  • Carry the application form with the necessary documents on the day of the entrance examination.
  • If selected, the candidate needs to pay INR 40,000 to book their seat.

  • Valid form of photo id (current college ID/ PAN card/ Passport/driving license/other government-issued ID)

Ques. Does ITMI offer good placement opportunities?

Ans. Yes, the institute holds an excellent placement record over the years. The institute has set up a separate placement cell to provide placement opportunities to students in reputed organizations. Ques. Can we apply for admissions at ITMI if we are in the final year of Undergraduate study?

Ans. Yes, you can apply if you are in the final year of under graduation. You should submit your previous semester mark sheets. Final semester mark sheets should be submitted as soon as the results are announced. If you have any backlog or if you fail to graduate, you won't be eligible for admission.

Ques. What does the ITMI written admission test cover and how should I prepare for it?

Ans. The admission test covers a) General Awareness (objective, mostly multiple-choice) b) Language Ability (objective, many of them multiple-choice) c) Written Expression (subjective, analytical writing). Applicants will be evaluated on the use of language, ability to follow instructions in a logical way, reasoning ability, response to given situations, and awareness of recent events/incidents. As a suggestion, however, applicants are expected to be generally aware of the world around them. Everything else is more or less a test of suitability for a communication career. Questions may cover some media-related topics, but only those that are part of common knowledge.

Ques. How should I prepare for the ITMI admission interviews?

Ans. The objective of the entire ITMI admission process is to evaluate an applicant's scope to be a good communicator and a communication professional, not to test their pre-eminence in it. Not knowing much about the media or about communication will not hamper your chances at all. However, the interviews will evaluate how well you do whatever you do. For example, if you say you are a cricket player, you should be able to substantiate it. If you say you are interested in philately, you should be able to converse about the history of stamps.

Ques. Does ITMI provide or facilitate education loans?

Ans. Once you are admitted, ITMI can recommend you for an education loan from your bank, and provide whatever documentation is required at the bank.

Ques. Is there an age limit to apply to ITMI?

Ans. The age limit for the course is 30 years as of the date of admission.
