Thakur School of Architecture and Planning (TSAP) is a private college established in the year 2014. The institute meets both the local and global requirements of Architecture by providing “State of the Art Architectural Education” to aspiring architects. TSAP is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), and the Govt. of Maharashtra. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is an unaided and Hindi linguistic minority institute.

TSAP has been awarded the “Architecture College of the year” award by Higher Education Digest 2023 and is also awarded the “Top Architecture Institute” in Times Survey for the fourth consecutive year. In addition, TSAP was also awarded as the “Best Institution of Architecture” in Mumbai by the Times of India.

TSAP Mumbai offers undergraduate courses in the field of Architecture and designing, namely B.Arch and B.Voc. It provides world-class infrastructural facilities like vast spaces that promote architectural education, intensive industry facilities, academia interactions, international collaborations, intra and intra disciplinary learning, in-school practicals – managing architecture, study by research, intensive faculty-student interaction that promotes innovations, and intense research and developments. This is done by exposing the students to international experts in the field, hosting and presenting papers at national and international conferences, workshops, symposiums, seminars, design fests, and through active design & research base.

TSAP Mumbai Admission Process

TSAP Mumbai Admissions to 80% of the BArch seats is based on CAP Counselling conducted by DTE Maharashtra. Given below is the DTE CAP Counselling procedure:

  1. The "Online Application Form" is available to only those eligible candidates, who are desirous of seeking admission to the colleges through this admission process on the official website viz. www.dte.org.in
  2. Aspiring candidates are required to fill in the online application form, take the printout of it and submit it in person along with duly signed printout of the online application form, required documents (both originals & attested copies) at the Application Form Receipt Center (ARC)
  3. The Merit List of eligible candidates for Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will be displayed on the website. There are a total of four CAP rounds. The site mentions the dates for each of the procedures given in the following steps:
  4. Go to the website www.dte.org.in/arch. Fill the form and then take its printout.
  5. Go to your nearest ARC and submit the form. They will give a STAMPED printout of the form
  6. On the specified dates, go to the ARC with the documents mentioned (original and attested copy) and the stamped printout which you have.
  7. Check out the provisional merit list displayed on the site and ensure that all your details are correctly specified in the list. If there is any discrepancy, then go to the ARC on the specified dates and get it corrected.
  8. Check out the final merit list displayed along with your rank.
  9. Go to the website and fill the online option form according to your choice. You can fill up to a maximum of 10 preferences. You have to report to the ARC in person and confirm the submission of your online option form
  10. Provisional allotment list is then displayed on the site.
  11. If you have been allotted a seat, then report to the particular college. You are not eligible for further CAP rounds and have to compulsorily take admission in that particular college.
  12. An Institute vacancy list is displayed on the site after each CAP round.
  13. If you have not been allotted a seat, then you can fill another option form online. Repeat the same procedure from step ‘9’ to ‘11’ for CAP round 2.
  14. Now if you still haven’t got a seat, then repeat steps '9' to '11' for CAP round 3.
  15. Even after round 3, if you haven’t got a seat then there is another CAP round
  16. These CAP rounds (NATA) are applicable for colleges all over Maharashtra.
