Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate:
For first year Engineering:
- Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics , chemisrty/ biotechnology/biology/technical vocational subject AND Secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics ,chemisrty/ biotechnology/biology/technical vocational subject added together AND Obtained a positive composite score ie marks obtained after adding 50% JEE (Main)2014 (paper 1) marks and 50% normalized standard XII marks in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
Direct Second year :
- The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45 % marks (40 % marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.OR
- The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC / Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) and passed XII standard examination with Mathematics as the subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level.
- Note:- The students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall only be considered after filling the seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma Stream and students belonging to B.Sc. stream are required to pass the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.
Selection is based on a positive composite score marks obtained after adding 50% JEE (Main) (paper 1) marks.
