Jogamaya Devi College offers a horde of 3-year General and Honors degree programs in the disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce. The subjects available under the BA program (General / Honors) include Bengali, English, Political Science, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Sociology, Psychology, Economics and Geography. For the B.Sc. program, General and Honors degree are offered in the disciplines of Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geology and Zoology with only General degree offered for B.Sc. Statistics. The department of commerce offers a General B.Com degree and two B.Com Honors programs with specializations in Accounting & Finance and Taxation.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the General BA/ B.Sc./ B.Com courses is a pass in HSC/ 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board or institute. For admission to the Honors degree courses, candidates are required to have passed the 10+2 level exam in the relevant discipline (for instance, candidates clearing the 10+2 exam in Arts stream can pursue the only B.A. Honors program). Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam with respect to merit. Honors candidates are further evaluated through a personal interview session.
Aspiring candidates may visit the institute campus and purchase the application form by paying the cost of application form in cash. However, the registration fee can be paid only via demand draft which needs to be submitted at the time of submission of application form. The institute doesn’t facilitate online submission of application forms at the moment.

Key Points:
- If a candidate has failed in a subject at 10+2 level, he/ she is not allowed to pursue the Bachelor’s degree in that subject.
- Candidates applying for General courses must score at least 30% marks in the last qualifying exam.
- For admission to any of the UG courses offered by the college, candidates are required to pass the English paper (not less than 100 marks) at 10+2 as a mandatory clause.
