EEC offers B.E course under six specialisations along with lateral entry admissions. Admissions to B.E course are based on the marks obtained by candidates in HSC, followed by counselling conducted by Anna University. The shortlisted candidates are invited for offline counselling as per merit list and category. The counselling process will start by the end of June, 2021.
Those applying for Lateral Entry will be selected as per merit of marks obtained in qualifying examination. The eligibility criteria for different categories in each course will be as shown below:

There are certain eligibility criteria that candidates need to satisfy before applying for admissions through TNEA:
- Those who are applying under other-state quota but are citizens of India are equally eligible to apply.
- Applicants applying on the basis of marks in HSC vocational stream need to have studied PCM or related subjects, vocational theory and practicals.
- Candidates may even approach the institute directly for admissions under management quota for both the courses.
