Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 2 years Full-time MBA Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Any Graduation with 45% marks for Reservation Category students and 50 % marks for Open Category students. Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent) from any recognized University, in any subject – Commerce, Arts, Sciences, Agriculture, Engineering, Technology with minimum percentage of marks as prescribed by the concerned government authorities.
Students appearing for their final year of graduation examination also can apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining the minimum required marks in the MBA Entrance Test as well as in their graduation examination.

What is that only IIM Kozhikode has but no other IIM does?

If there is something unique to every IIM, then it’s their diverse environments. IIM Kozhikode has its own unique environment.

I think the most distinguishing characteristic of IIM Kozhikode has to be its resort-like infrastructure and location. One of my friends attended the Backwaters event in 2010. She narrated her experience of the same saying her 3-day stay at IIM Kozhikode was no less than a vacation. The college is seated at the top of a hill overlooking lush green fields. The view from the top is fantastic and you won’t regret coming here even a bit.

Does one get front-end investment banking roles immediately after finishing a PGP in IIM Kozhikode?

The chances of one getting front m-end investment bank roles just after finishing a PGM in IIM Kozhikode are extremely low.

This is because IIM Kozhikode has little to offer in the finance field as compared to A,B and C. The total financial roles available might be around 5% of the entire batch. There are some international opportunities in Indonesia, Africa etc.

IIM Kozhikode has amazing opportunities in mid-office level jobs. You can work here, get experience and then switch to the front-end.

The conclusion is that if you want to get a front end role right after PGP then go for A,B or C. But if you are open to learning different fields then IIM Kozhikode is the best option.
