You don’t need to give any other qualifying examination for working anywhere. The yearly salary for MS degree holders in the USA is around $73,900 ( ~INR 54,31,413).
While NICMAR is well-known for management studies in the field of Civil Engineering. But they offer MBA rather than M.Tech or ME degrees. Also, NICMAR is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research organization by the Govt. of India. None of the degrees offered by the institute is AICTE approved.
An experience of 4.5 years is excellent in its own way. Just be sure about your current and expected CTC during the placement process.
Getting the same CTC even after the post-graduation would be a waste of time. It's a gamble if you're willing to make it. There are students who join just after two years of experience and get better pay, so should you after your 4 years of experience.
If you wish to join to learn, then go ahead, but if the salary is your only concern, then rethink your decision twice.
No, that option is not accessible. You can refer to CAT and XAT exam papers. The pattern will be the same. The NICMAR Entrance Exam will be a stroll in the park. So don't be too concerned about it.
There are three rounds in total.
In writing: It's the same as any other admission exam that tests aptitude and grammar.
Discussion in groups: The majority of GD comes from current events or any construction or project instance.
For GD, you should begin reading the newspaper extensively for the past few months prior to your exam. The topics will be broad, with no discernible trend, although they will mostly be current.
Personal Interview: They will ask you HR, technical, and other questions.
So, you require a paper only for the written round, but if you prepare a little bit of aptitude and grammar from RS Sharma, you will not need any previous paper.
You will always have the option to go from a double to single occupancy and vice versa. The hostels have a capacity that exceeds the annual intake. As a result, once you arrive, this should not be an issue.
But If you are concerned about expenses, then take a double occupancy room and then shift your room among your friends. Or you can book a single occupancy room, that way you will have your own personal space than without any disturbance.
According to the reviews online, NICMAR is famous for construction management in Hyderabad. It offers one-year programs and two-year full-time programs.
The choice of the course depends on you considering the various factors like course curriculum, risk capacity in terms of return on investment, and fee. The following can be considered.
Overall, the institute offers decent placements with a 99.2% placement record in all the programs. Therefore, it is suggested that you choose according to your needs and career goal.
Usually, 70% of the students are placed in the first 3 days at NICMAR Pune for ACM (Advance Construction Management) and PEM (Project Engineering Management) programs. The rest of the branch also get job offers eventually but the package depends on the level of expertise and skills you have.
Other campuses at NICMAR are a bit new and they are not as famous as the Pune branch. They don't get that much attention from companies as reputed and well-recognized branches like ACM and PEM at Pune receive.
For the 2020 batch, NICMAR observed an average salary package of 6.75 Lakhs. A total of 99.2% of students got placed with reputed companies including ITC, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, etc.
Many top companies visit NICMAR every year for placements. Almost all companies that recruit students from ACM, PEM, or any other two-year equivalent courses also come to recruit the QSCM Candidates. Generally, all these courses have placements on the same day.
Almost all reputed construction companies visit the campus placement of NICMAR. EPC Contractors, a top construction company in India is a frequent recruiter at NICMAR.
If we analyze the placement scenario at NICMAR, the number of recruiters visiting and recruitments happening is only increasing. Also, the packages offered by these companies are high when compared to the market. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at NICMAR was 6 LPA.
Yes, you can join NICMAR without work experience. Having work experience isn’t mandatory. But having work experience will help you grasp the concepts better. More than 30% of students in NICMAR Pune have work experience of above 12 months.
But being a fresher won’t be much of a problem. You can learn through visualization. You will also get help from your peers.
The new campus of NICMAR Hyderabad is 20 Km away from the city and you hardly find anything around the campus.
Thus, we can conclude that the facilities provided in the new campus are less when compared to the old one.
After the completion of the first year, you can apply for internships for which you need to appear for an interview session alongside a written exam. It is usually based upon Aptitude and English, apart from subjects taught in NICMAR. During this time, you can practice for the final placements.
NICMAR also has a plethora of extracurricular activities to distract one from the flow. It is upon you to manage your time and execute your aim. It is suggested that you prepare thoroughly when you still can.
