For all UG courses, Aspirants need to appear for the CUET UG exam, and candidates applying for PG courses are required to appear for the CUET PG exam. After applying to Delhi University, one needs to fill in the preference for colleges and courses. Seats will be allocated through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for UG courses.

For PG admissions, 50% of the total seats are to be filled on a merit basis in qualifying examinations for those students who did their bachelor’s degree from Delhi University. The remaining 50% of the total seats are to be filled on the basis of CUET PG Exam Scores. PGDAV College also provides 50% of seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category students.

One must go through the CUET exam, and score decent marks in the exam. Then via csas DU portal one has to register in the portal and give preferences and accordingly, students can be admitted to the firstly preferred college. The admission process is quite easy as well as the CUET exam. As it is Delhi University, we know there's a lot of quota through which applicable students can benefit.

You should give preference to PGDAV or Motilal Nehru. These two colleges belong to the same tier and offer good academics and placements. PGDAV College placements are above average. For the 2020-21 session, more than 150 recruiters visited the campus placement. The highest CTC offered to students was INR 19.50 LPA. If you are a sports enthusiast, you should prefer PGDAV, it has excellent sports facilities.

Matilal has a decent placement record. Students with good academics get job offers through campus placements. The highest CTC offered to the students ranges between INR 10-12 LPA.

Both Satyavati and PGDAV colleges are good in their own way.

PGDAV College is a co-educational institution. It is known for its excellence in academics, sports and other extracurricular activities. It provides more opportunities, better environment and better faculties.

Satyawati college has earned its reputation as a centre of academic excellence. It has established its reputation in various fields. They have a good faculty. Though it cannot be compared with the best DU colleges, it has a reputation of its own.

CR

20 Nov 21B.Com from Ramanujan College, Delhi University (2018)

Among the colleges, Ramanujan College is best. It has a great campus. The infrastructure is quite good too. There are smart classes with ACs. The atmosphere at the campus is good for academics. It is one of the top-ranked colleges in India. In 2021, it was ranked 43 for commerce by Outlook 2021. The faculty base of the institute is good too. The campus is surrounded by many food joints, cafes, bars, lounges.

RJ

Rishabh Jain,

22 Nov 21B.Tech (CS) Computer Science, University of Delhi (2017)

One of my friends studied at Delhi University. According to him, taking admission at PGDAV for B.Com will prove to be good for your career.

If both the colleges are compared, we will see that PGDAV is much ahead than Ram Lal Anand (RLA) in several factors:

  • The societies of PGDAV are considered the most popular in DU. These include -  Rudra, IRIS and Rapbeats.
  • In sports their cricket team is considered among the top teams.
  • PGDAV has one of the best canteens in DU .
  • Their infrastructure is one factor in which both the colleges come on the same rank. They are properly built and well maintained.
  • The student crowd in PGDAV is also known to be more competitive and enthusiastic than RLA.

Therefore after analyzing all the points, it is suggested that you take admission in PGDAV College, as it will give you a secure future.

VL

Vaibhabi Lalwani

According to the reviews by the students online, PGDAV will be a better choice for students who are interested in studying in the science stream. Kalindi College of Delhi University is known better for its Arts department.

So, it is best, if you go for Kalindi College for an English honours degree, than PGDAV.

Categories Kalindi College PGDAV
Course Fee INR 25,000 INR 35,000
Placement Percentage 70% 80%
Average CTC 4-5 LPA 6 LPA

Also PGDAV is a co-education college and Kalindi College is only for girls, so choose which one will be the best suited for you and your career ahead.

AS

Anu Singh

22 Oct 21B.M.S from Ramanujan College, Delhi University (2019)

Among PGDAV, Ramanujan College, and Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa for pursuing a B.Com, no doubt Ramanujan is the best. It is an assured college for the studies and the overall development of a student.

Following are the things that are guaranteed in the institution:

  • The location is good. Both the colleges are at prime locations situated in the most famous areas of South Delhi.
  • The faculty at Ramanujan is one of the most helpful and friendly faculties one can ever encounter. They are supportive, kind, and motivating.
  • The environment and overall ambiance are quite good including the buildings and the canteen.
  • The classrooms of Ramanujan are far better than that of PGDAV, as the classrooms there are not even considered as average when it comes to the hygiene and maintenance part.
Categories B.Com at Ramanujan College
Course Fee INR 60,000
Placement Percentage 60-70%
Highest CTC 6-8 LPA
Average CTC 3.5 LPA
Recruiting Companies Deloitte, Wipro, Amazon, Axis Bank, etc.

You should opt for Ramanujan as it is better than the PGDAV and the Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College. It will provide a good academics and career to the student with all the required facilities.

For BA (Hons) in Economics, PGDAV is the best option among these, in terms of academics, student crowd, infrastructure, placements, and extracurriculars. The Economics department of PGDAV boasts of a dedicated faculty pool. The environment on campus is competitive and inspires motivation. It has a decent placement record. According to the recent highlights of PGDAV placements, the median CTC offered is around INR 3.30 LPA.

HM

Harshita Mitra

Ramanujan and Shivaji are the best options. Shivaji will offer you a great campus experience compared to the other colleges mentioned here. Whereas, Ramanujan will offer great infrastructural facilities.

You can go to Motilal Nehru if you really want to get into the south campus. However, students usually go to Ramanujan or Shivaji after making the cutoff. So, choose wisely.

Rupkatha Ghose

If you are interested in Computer Science and want to pursue coding as a profession then doing a B.Tech from IPU will be better. At PGDAV, the teaching faculty for CS are not up to the mark. There is no placement in tech at DU. The atmosphere on campus is also not ideal for technical studies. The infrastructural facilities are also not good. Computers at labs stay down most of the time.

US

Uttirna Sircar,

22 Nov 21B.A. Political Science, University of Delhi (2019)

PGDAV College is a co-educational institution. It is known for its excellence in academics, sports and other extracurricular activities.

It provides better educational and placement opportunities. As a college the environment is perfect for learning. They also have the best faculty. Commerce and Economics faculties are huge compared to the others. They include more than 30 professors.

They have a clean and well maintained canteen, which provides affordable and hygienic foods to the students.

PGDAV College may not be very striking when it comes to looks but once you get to be a part of this college, you will definitely experience an amazing journey.
