Guru Nanak Khalsa College (GNKC), Yamuna Nagar was established in the year 1968 under the affiliation of KUK, Kurukshetra. The institute offers various UG and PG courses in the stream of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Computer Application, etc. It also offers a PG Diploma program in Yoga Therapy.

  • The candidates who have passed 10+2 are eligible to apply for admission in UG and PG Diploma Courses.
  • For PG courses, the candidates must have passed their Bachelor’s in the relevant stream.
  • Admission to UG, PG and PG Diploma is done on the basis of the last qualifying examination.

GNKC was awarded with the ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ in 2006 and 2014 by UGC. Further, the college was awarded the ‘Best College’ by Kurukshetra University. The college has received the Governor's Award several times for its significant contribution to sports and community services.

GNKC UG Admissions 2023

GNKC offers B.Sc, BA, B.Com, B.Com (Hons.), BBA, BCA, B.Ed and B.P.Ed programs at the undergraduate level. The candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination are eligible to apply for admission. Admission to all the UG programs is done on the basis of merit.

GNKC PG Admissions 2023

The institute offers M.Sc, MA and M.Com programs at the PG level. Additionally, the institute also offers a PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy.

How to Apply?

  • Visit the official website of “Kurukshetra University”.
  • Click on “New User Registration”.
  • After registration, click on ‘Applicant Login’ in order to fill the application form.
  • Select the desired course and upload the documents.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 800 (INR 200 for SC/ST/PH and Blind candidates belonging to Haryana).
  • If a student applies for more than one course, he/she will have to deposit a fee of INR 300/- (INR 75/- for SC/BC/Blind candidates of Haryana only) for each course separately.
  • Save and note down the registration number for further admission requirements.

Ans. Scholarship of upto INR 69 lakhs is awarded by Jamna Auto Industries, Govt. Of Haryana and Kurukshetra University to Meritorious Students, outstanding sportspersons, Economically weaker Students, Minorities Students.

Ques. On what grounds a student admission to GNKC can be cancelled?

Ans. If a student fails to attend his/her class continuously for seven days from the date of commencement of the classes or from the date of admission, his/her admission shall be cancelled and seat given to the next in merit list.

Ques. Can foreign students apply to this GNKC?

Ans. Yes, foreign students can also apply for admission to any courses offered by GNKC. 

Ques. Are any seats reserved for NRI candidates at GNKC?

Ans. No. The institute does not provide any seat reservation for NRI candidates.

Remarks:

The admission process is very simple. You go to college and get admission there. The eligibility is on a first come first serve. You can find the registration form from the college site which is gnkc.in but you cannot get admission online. You have to go to college. During admission gates of college are always open for all. Firstly you can go to the admission counter and fill out the admission form during the filled form teachers guide you. After that, you go to the fees window, and your admission is done.
