Cambridge Institute of Technology College accepts BTech admissions based on COMEDK- UGET 2024/ KCET Score followed by centralized counselling. The application process for COMEDK- UGET 2024 will start on February 01 and the entrance test is scheduled on May 12, 2024. KCET applications will also start from January 10, 2024, and the entrance exam will be conducted on April 20 & 21, 2024 in offline pen & paper mode.

Established in 2007, Cambridge Institute of Technology is located in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is managed by Umesh Educational Trust and is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. Further, CiTECH has accreditation from NAAC and NBA. The institute offers Bachelor of Engineering in 7 specializations at UG level. Candidates willing to take admission must produce a valid scorecard of KCET/COMEDK exams. The final seat is alloted during the counselling round of the respective exam.

At PG level, the institute offers M.Tech, MBA and MCA. Admission to all the three courses are granted based on the PGCET score. Cambridge Institute of Technology UG Eligibility

To apply for the UG program, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/Electronics as optional subjects.
Additionally, they must have obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/Category-1 and OBC candidates) in the 10+2 board exams

Cambridge Institute of Technology UG Selection Criteria

Cambridge Institute of Technology selects candidates based on the valid score in KCET or COMEDK exams.
In the case of KCET, the institute also takes into account merit in 10+2.
The qualified candidates have to further attend the KCET or COMEDK counselling.

Further, candidates with a valid rank have to be present for Karnataka PGCET Counselling, conducted by KEA.
At the time of counselling, applicants have to register themselves after which they have to produce their documents for verification.

Ques. What is the difference between KCET and COMEDK Counselling?

Ans. Although the procedures involved in both the counselling are similar, they still vary in terms of the process. In KCET, students need to get their document verified as the first step. Upon successful verification, students need to register themselves for the counselling and then they have to proceed to fill the choice after which seat allotment is done. Finally, they have to pay the fee for accepting the seat.

Whereas, the counselling process for COMEDK starts with registration and payment of partial tuition fee payment in advance. Post payment, applicants have to fill the choice and mock seat allotment is done. And, the process ends with document verification as the last step.

Ques. What was the PGCET cutoff for MBA?

Ans. The PGCET cutoff of round 1 for MBA in case of general category was 8423.

Remarks:

I took an entrance exam that is kcet and I got around 40k rank in it. In the kcet, 2 phases of reservations will be there is a rural quota. Those who studied in rural schools get a reservation for rural quota. And those who studied in Kannada medium get kannada medium quota. In total 20 percent of reservations.

Remarks:

I joined the college through K-CET my ranking was 35k. I applied for both cs and ec but ec was allowed due to low ranking, I am happy with what I got. you can join college through COMED K, KCET, management offer a few seats. I was a general merit student no reservation was availed.

Remarks:

Got admission through Management quota. Admission requires either Kcet or JEE mains examinations. The cut-off for each course with specialization varies each year depending on the number of students appearing for the exams.
