Courses Details
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Duration- 5 ½ years Fourth year is 1 ½ professional year Fifth year is Internship.
Eligibility- 50% marks in 10+2 with Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English subjects. 5% less than the general category for SC and ST candidates Age Limit- Minimum age should be 17 years and maximum age should be 25 years as on 31st December of the admission year. For SC & ST relaxation of age by five years exists. Admission as per state quota-85% seats are filled as per merit in the A.P EAMCET(Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test, Andhra Pradesh)
Master of Veterinary Science Duration-2 Years
Eligibility- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University or Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (SVVU/ANGRAU) a institution recognised with atleast 60% marks Age-40 years is the upper age limit as on 1st July of the year of admission
Ph.D in Veterinary Science Duration-2 Years,4 semesters in totality
Eligibility- Master’s degree from a recognised institution with atleast 70% marks Age-50 Years is the upper age limit

How to Apply? 

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry

  • Visit the website of AP EAMCET for filling in the application form
  • Fill in the asked educational and personal details
  • Pay the registration fee which is Rs.350 or late fee, if applicable through one of the two methods 1. AP Online 2.Credit/Debit card
  • Verify the details and then submit
  • An online application form gets generated containing your registration number along with your details
  • Affix recent passport sized photograph attested by Gazetted officer
  • Take the print out of the registration form which has to be submitted to the invigilator during examination
  • Selection will be made on the basis of merit in AP EAMCET exam

Master of Veterinary Science

  • Candidates must download the Application form from the website of the university
  • Take the print out of the downloaded form
  • Fill the Application Form with the personal and educational details asked for
  • Fill in the form in your own handwriting
  • Affix a recent passport size coloured photograph
  • Get a demand draft made of INR 600/- in case of SC/ST/PH and INR 1200/- in case of general category

Hostel Facility: There are two boys hostels and one girls hostel. Every hostel has a capacity of 302 students. Hostels have spacious Cafetaria,Common rooms with color TV, Hostel Library, Music Room, Indoor games, Outdoor courts for various games like basketball and badminton, Incoming telephone service and good food services.

Medical Facilities: The College has easy access to a well equipped Hospital for all the students of the college. Services of homeopathic doctors are also available within the campus. Students are well looked after by the doctors in case of a medical requirement.

Extra-Curricular Activities: Various Extra-Curricular activities like cultural, social, and literary and N.C.C. etc. are organized through professional societies, activity clubs and hobby clubs. Music, Dance, Arts and Crafts, Folk Songs and Drama events and competitions are held besides other personality development contests.

Games and Sports Facilities: Various Games and sports activities through games & sports clubs. A lot of material for games and sports is provided to the students for practicing. A central playground and fully fledged stadium and physical fitness centre exist for sports and games events and athletics.

Library: Completely computerized library enhances the knowledge of the students. In totality 14,337 books are available for the students and more than 500 books get added to the library every year.28 Indian journals, 18 foreign journals and 1711 back volumes of journals impart intellectuality to the students.

Ques. I am already enrolled in an international veterinary program. Am I eligible to apply for admission to NTR College of Veterinary Sciences as a first year student?

Ans. You are already studying in a veterinary medical program. This makes you a transfer student. Our regular admission process does not have the provision for admission of transfer students. We only consider applicants who are first-time attendees in a veterinary medical program.

Ques. Is it possible for me to substitute a course for another course at NTR College of Veterinary Sciences?

Ans. Well, The courses are approved by the faculty of our college and they have chosen the courses to equip the students with the basic foundation needed in order to be successful in veterinary. So there is no provision available for the students to choose one course instead of the other.

Ques. How many hands-on animal activities are provided by NTR College of Veterinary Science?

Ans. There is a balance of lectures, discussions, hands-on activities and laboratories for providing the students with a thorough understanding of the demands of the veterinary profession. You will have some contact with animals through small and large animal handling demonstrations. You can refer to the module of every course or contact the department for further information about activities related to the animals.

Ques. If I am not accepted to NTR College of Veterinary Science, is it possible to reapply the next year?

Ans. Absolutely, we encourage all the participants to apply the next year if not selected the current year. All that you have to do the next year is to complete a new application and submit updated documents required as enclosures with the application form.

Ques. Does NTR College of Veterinary Science provide a refund?

Ans. Since the courses at NTR Veterinary Sciences are extremely competitive, the course fees are nonrefundable. Therefore, you will not be able to get the deposited tuition fees back.
