Established in 1995, KMCH College of Pharmacy is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm., Pharm.D. Duration of B. Pharm is 4 years and that of M. Pharm is 2 years while Pharm. D and Ph.D. are 6 and 5 years respectively. Almost all students are employed in the leading pharma industries, hospitals, and academia across the country who opt for production, research, and development. Some other domains for careers are Pharmacovigilance, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Clinical Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Hospital pharmacy, Teachings. Some students also go for higher studies. Median package in UG Courses is around INR 2,40,000 and in PG Courses is around INR 3,36,000.
The eligibility of the students for the various course are:
- Pass the last qualifying exam with a percentage higher than the cut-off.
- There is also age restriction i.e. different for different courses.
- Reservation is as per the Government of Tamil Nadu scheme.
Selection to KMCH College of Pharmacy in the programs are merit-based and merit list is prepared in accordance with the percentage of the previous qualifying exams.
