The School of Management, CUSAT was founded in 1964 in Kochi, Kerala. SMS, CUSAT offers full-time and part-time MBA program in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, Production and Operations Management, International Business, and Travel and Tourism, M.Phil. program, and Ph.D. program.

Candidates shall apply online for MBA course through the website of CUSAT and offline for Ph.D. and M.Phil. course.
The application form for Doctoral courses shall be collected from the concerned department in person by submitting the application fee.
The application fee of MBA course shall be submitted online only.
Candidates who have passed Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for the reserved category) from a recognized University are considered eligible for admission to MBA.
Applicants who hold Master’s Degree in relevant specialization with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST category) are eligible to apply for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. course.
Selection of the candidates for admission to MBA course is done through their merit in CAT/ KMAT including marks obtained in GD and PI conducted by CUSAT.
Admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil. program is given through Departmental Admission Test (DAT) followed by a personal interview round conducted by the concerned department.

SMS, CUSAT MBA Admission 2023

CUSAT, School of Management Studies offers full-time MBA program of 2-year and part-time MBA program of 3-year to the aspirants. The full-time MBA program has the intake of 120 and part-time MBA course has total 30 seats.

Applicants who have completed graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate are considered eligible for MBA program. Selection of candidates for admission to the program is done on the basis of their CAT/ KMAT score and marks obtained in Group discussion and Interview round conducted by the Institute.

Key Points for MBA Admission:

50% of seats in part-time MBA course is reserved for candidates with minimum 3-year of working experience after completing the degree.
70% weightage is given to the score obtained in CAT/ MAT/ KMAT/ XAT, 15% to GD and 15% to PI.
SMS offers community reservation to candidates of socially and educationally backward communities, and economically weak background.
3% seats in the program are reserved for physically challenged candidates, 1 seat each for Kashmiri Migrant, Fishermen Community, Officers serving in Army, and Sportsperson.

SMS, CUSAT M.Phil. and Ph.D. Admission 2023

The University offers 1-year M.Phil. program and full-time 3-year Ph.D. program to the aspirants. Candidates who have passed Post-Graduation Degree in any specialization with minimum 55% marks (50% for the reserved category candidates) from any University are considered eligible for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. program. Admission to candidates is given through written test and personal interview round conducted by CUSAT considering the merit of Master’s Degree program.

Candidates shall apply separately for each course as per the norms of CUSAT. For Doctoral courses, candidates shall apply offline and for MBA program application form should be submitted online through the official website of the University. Payment of the application fee shall be done in both online and offline modes.

Collect the application form from the concerned department by paying the application fee.
Candidates shall pay the application fee through Demand Draft issued by State Bank of India or State Bank of Travancore favoring “Registrar, CUSAT” payable at Ernakulam.
Fill up the application form will correct details and attach DD an affix a passport size photograph.
Submit the application form within the stipulated date of submission.
