Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) was established by the Kerala government in December 2010 under vide act 3 of 2011 called The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Act 2010 to further research, education, and extension services in veterinary and Animal Sciences field.

The University offers Certificate & P.G Diploma course in many specializations. Some of them are PG Diploma in Ethnopharmacology, in One Health, Informatics, and management, Toxicologic Pathology & many more.

KVASU Distance Education Diploma Admission 2023

The University offers diploma in four different specializations viz. in Integrated Farming System, Diploma in Dairy Entrepreneurship and Poultry Entrepreneurship.

Selection criteria in Diploma course are through merit. The basic eligibility for Integrated Farming System, Dairy Entrepreneurship and Poultry Entrepreneurship are 12^thpassed.

KVASU Distance Education PG Diploma Admission 2023

The University offers PG Diploma in nine different specializations. The duration of these PG Diploma courses is 12 months as two semesters with five days of contact classes per semester.

The candidate who are graduated in the area of Agriculture, Veterinary Science Dairy Science, Fisheries/Agri-business/ Allied agricultural courses/ biological sciences/ Developmental sciences/ Social sciences/ Economics/ Commerce. KVASU Distance Education PG Certificate Admission 2023

The university offers PG Certificate Programme in Farm Journalism, In One Health Surveillance, In Veterinary Homeopathy, in the community-based disaster management course. The common eligibility for these courses is graduation as per the subject need.

Selection criteria for these courses are on Merit-basis.

Veterinary Homeopathy	Candidate should have done B.V.Sc. and AH. Candidates who are in their Final year can also apply for this course.
Community Based Disaster Management	Veterinary Graduates, Medical Graduates, Dental Graduates, Ayurveda Graduates, Homeopathy, Nursing Sciences, BA in Sociology or Anthropology, BSc (any biological sciences) from the recognized university.

KVASU Distance Education Application Process 2023

In order to get admission, a candidate needs to follow the steps given below:

Candidate needs to fill the application form given online.
Candidate needs to fill the application properly.
Candidates can make the payment through DD, credit card, Debit card, and Internet banking.
Before filling the application form, DD in favor of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode, Wayanad payable @ Kalpetta of INR 1000 (General Category) INR 500 (SC/ST category)
If the candidate is doing the transaction through CC/ Debit card or Net Banking, General Category candidate should remit INR 1020 as the application fee and bank processing charges those belonging to SC/ST (Native of Kerala origin) should remit INR 520.

Documents Checklist:

Copy of the receipt if paid online or the DD if the payment is done through Demand Draft.
Self-attested copy of SSLC certificate or DOB/ Qualification certificates (plus two/ VHSE/ Degree(both final mark list & certificates to be provided)
Community certificate obtained from a Revenue Officer.
Attested photocopies of certificates to prove additional qualifications or extra-curricular activities like experience in sports activities/ NCC/NSS/job etc.
Attested copies of certificates in support of any other reservation/claims made in the application.
