Latest Update: SIBM Hyderabad MBA admission 2024 has started and the last date to apply to the institute is January 12, 2024. SNAP 2023 registration has begun, and the last date to apply is November 23, 2023. SNAP 2023 exam is Scheduled between December 10 to December 22, 2023.

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Hyderabad popularly known as SIBM Hyderabad offers a full-time on-campus MBA course of 2 years duration in various disciplines at the postgraduate level.

A UG degree in any discipline with 50% marks is required to be eligible to pursue an MBA program here. The MBA program is available under four specializations, namely marketing, finance, operations management, and human resources.

SIBM Hyderabad MBA Eligibility Criteria

To meet the SIBM eligibility criteria, the candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any preferred discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST)
A candidate appearing for the final year in graduation and or has completed the degree requirements and awaiting results is also eligible to apply.

SIBM Hyderabad MBA Admission Guidelines

Aspiring candidates have to mandatorily appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) online entrance examination to be eligible for admission into the various programs offered by the university. The candidate shall pay separate program-wise registration fees if he/she wants to apply to more than one program. Once shortlisted, the candidate will have to sit for group discussion, writing ability test, and personal interview rounds consequently for furthering the admission process.

Pay a SNAP test fee of INR 1750
In the same application form, apply for SIBM Hyderabad
Pay a registration fee of INR 1000 to the institute
Candidates who successfully clear the cut off percentile in the entrance are called for further rounds of selection by the university
Upon clearing all rounds successfully, the candidates shall be sent final admission offer letters on their mailing address provided by them during the SNAP registration.

Students’ performance shall be judged in the selection rounds following a weightage pattern. The weighting parameters adhered to, during the selection process is as follows:

Among these three institutes, choosing NMIMS Hyderabad will be better. Despite being established recently, it became well-recognized in the industry.

The faculty base is one of the best in the country. It organizes a lot of guest lectures. Speakers from different industries provide insight into the latest happening in the industry.
The campus has many active clubs and committees.
In 2021 placement drive, they clocked an average of 9.59 LPA.
Few of the major recruiters that took part in the placement drive are Lido, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Deloitte, etc.

One of my friends studied at SIBM and according to him, the college is known for its placements. Small batches and teaching standards. They only accept SNAP scores.

Although both NIDM and SIBM Hyderabad are very good management institutions you should choose SIBM Hyderabad because of the following reasons:

They provide a compulsory 8 weeks of the internship program.
They have collaborated with Dauphine University, Berlin school of economics, Flensburg University, Hochschule Bremen, LISBON School of Economics & Management. This collaboration gives you immense exposure.
The infrastructure is good. The whole campus, hostels are wifi enabled with world-class facilities.
The college is located in the industrial area of Hyderabad and is also an industrial hub.
The faculty members are also very good. They make more use of case studies, group discussions, simulations, lab tutorials, seminars, and workshops to make students understand, learn and gain practical exposure.
The curriculum is designed as per the industry’s needs.

Symbiosis has only good colleges in Pune. SIBM Hyderabad is merely an extension of the franchise, designed to attract students from all over India. If you are interested in attending a Symbiosis college, you should consider SIBM Pune, not SIBM Hyderabad. The same is true for IBS; IBS has many branches, such as IBS Pune and IBS Bangalore, but these are only extensions of the main campus, which is IBS Hyderabad.

It is recommended that you choose a main campus college, rather than an extension of a good college.

The final Verdict is that you should go for IBS Hyderabad. It is always recommended to do your own research and gather information from multiple sources before making a decision on your education.
