Dr. CV Raman University established Institute of Open and Distance Education in the year 2009 which is located in Bilaspur, Chattisgarh.

Dr. CV Raman University offers UG, PG, Diploma and PG Diploma courses under its 7 faculties. UG programs include BBA/ BCA/ B. Com/ BSc courses of 3 years duration each, likewise PG programs include M.Sc./ MA/ M.Com/ MBA course of 2 years duration each. Similarly, the institute offers PG Diploma course of 1-year duration in 8 specializations and Diploma in 3 specializations of 1-year duration to the aspirants.

Interested applicants can apply online and offline in both modes and the application process is same for each UG/PG and Diploma course. Payment of application fee shall be done through Demand Draft/ Cheque/ or in cash.
Those who have passed 10+2 in any discipline are eligible for BCA/ BBA/ BSc in Yoga and Naturopathy, whereas candidates who have passed 10+2 with Science and Commerce are eligible to get admission in B.Com and Bachelors of Commerce course. Similarly, to get admission in BSc (Mathematics/ Biology) candidates must have passed 10+2 in Mathematics/ Biology respectively.
Candidates who have qualified Graduation Degree course in any relevant discipline from a recognized University are considered eligible to get admission in PG Diploma/ MSc IT/ MBA/ MA/ BJMC/ B.Li.Sc. courses, while for M.Com program applicants with B.Com Degree are eligible to apply for admission. Likewise, for MSc in Mathematics/ Physics candidates with BSc in Mathematics are accepted eligible for admission.
For Diploma courses candidates who have passed 10+2 in any discipline are accepted as eligible to get admission in the course.
Admission to any UG/ PG or Diploma programs is given based on the candidate’s merit in the qualifying examination, their eligibility, and availability of seats in the program.

Dr. CV Raman University offers BCA/ BBA/ B.Com/ Bachelor of Commerce in two specializations/ BSc in three specializations of 3 years duration each.

Applicants who have passed 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized Board are considered eligible to get admission in BCA/ BBA programs, whereas those who have passed HSC/ 10+2 with Science or Commerce stream are eligible to apply for admission to B.Com/ Bachelor of Commerce courses. Candidates who have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board are eligible for admission to BSc in Yoga and Naturopathy whereas for BSc in Biology and Mathematics minimum eligibility criteria are pass in 10+2 with Biology/ Mathematics.

Selection of the candidate is done based on candidates’ merit in the qualifying examination and admission is given on the basis of availability of seats in the course.

Institute of Open and Distance Education offers Post Graduate Diploma course in 7 specializations, MBA, MSc in with five specializations and MA in 7 specializations courses to the aspirants. MBA/ M.Sc/ MA/ M.Com courses are of 2 years duration, whereas PG Diploma/ BJMC/ B.Li.Sc. courses are of 1-year duration each.

Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University are eligible to get admission in MA/ M.Sc in IT/ MBA/ PG Diploma/ BJMC/ B.Li.Sc. courses, while for MSc in Mathematics the minimum eligibility criteria is to have BSc Degree in Mathematics similarly for MSc in Chemistry, candidates with BSc in Maths/ Biology are considered eligible. For M.Sc in Mathematics minimum eligibility criteria is to pass the Graduation Degree course with Mathematics as the compulsory subject. Those who hold B.Com degree are considered eligible to get admission in M.Com course. For MA in Education program, the eligible candidate must have a Graduation Degree along with the degree of B.Ed.

Shortlisting of the candidate is done by considering candidate’s marks scored in the qualifying examination and their eligibility.

Diploma in three specializations of 1-year duration is offered by Dr. CV Raman University, Institute of Open and Distance Education to the aspirants.

Students who have passed 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized State/ Central Board of examination are eligible to apply for admission to Diploma course.

Eligible candidates are shortlisted only on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination.

Application Process

The application process for each UG/ PG/ Diploma course is same and candidates can apply in online or offline mode whichever is suitable. Payment of application fee shall be made in offline and online modes.

How to Apply:

Collect the application form along with prospectus by paying Rs. 100 in cash or send a DD through post along with a written request or may download the application form from the University’s website and get its print out
Fill in the application form correctly following the instructions carefully.
Attach all the required documents along with DD (if required).
Send the application form through the post or submit it in person to the University office.

Application Fee:

Pay the application of Rs. 100 either in cash or Rs. 150 through the Demand Draft favoring “Registrar, Dr. C.V. Raman University” payable at Bilaspur. Mention the name, course, mobile number, and address on the back side of DD. Those who have downloaded the application form shall pay Rs. 100 through DD.
