The University Institute of Chemical Technology was founded in the year 1994 and has been ranked 68th amongst the finest Engineering and Research institutes in India. The college is located in Jalagaon, Maharashtra.

The institute offers B.Tech and M.Tech courses in Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, Polymer and Plastics Technology, Food Technology, Nano Science Technology and Pharmaceutical Technology. Ph.D. research program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Technology and Environmental Sciences is also offered by University Institute of Chemical Technology.

Candidates must score at least 50% marks in 10+2 examination in science stream conducted by a recognized Higher Secondary Board in order to be eligible for admission to the B. Tech program.
Admission to B. Tech is entrance based and candidates must appear for the MHT-CET (Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.
Candidates who clear the MHT-CET must register themselves for participating in the Common Admission Process (CAP).
Candidates need to attend counselling conducted at designated Facilitation Centres (FCs) with documents for verification and allotment of colleges.
For M.Tech, candidate must obtain B.Tech degree from a recognized university for minimum eligibility.
Candidates for M.Tech in Chemical Engineering must obtain Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in chemical engineering/ chemical technology or equivalent.
For admission in this course, candidate must appear for written test and personal interview conducted by North Maharashtra University.
Admission to M.Tech in other specializations is done on the basis of MHT CET conducted by Government of Maharashtra.
For Ph.D. program in Engineering and Technology, candidate must possess an M. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology.
For those interested in pursuing Ph.D. in Chemistry, must complete M.Sc. in Chemistry to become eligible.
Ph.D. applicants must go through the Ph.D. Admission Test (PET) to be eligible for admission to the doctoral programs.

UICT Jalagaon B.Tech Admission 2023

B.Tech program conducted by UICT is a full-time, regular course conducted over a period of four-year in Chemical Engineering & Chemical Technology. In order to be eligible for admission to these courses, candidates must score at least 50% marks in 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology as compulsory subjects.

Candidates need to appear for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) conducted by DTE Maharashtra to qualify for admission. A merit list is released by DTE Maharashtra for admission to various colleges in the state. Students who clear the MHT-CET have to register for participating in the Common Admission Process (CAP) which is conducted in multiple rounds.

Candidates need to attend counselling conducted at designated Facilitation Centres where colleges are allotted according to a student’s academic record, entrance test score and seat availability.

UICT Jalagaon M.Tech Admission 2023

UICT offers M.Tech courses in several disciplines and is conducted for a duration of two-year. For M.Tech, candidate must obtain B.Tech degree from a recognized university for minimum eligibility. Candidates for M.Tech in Chemical Engineering must obtain Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in chemical engineering/ chemical technology or equivalent. For admission in this course, candidate must appear for written test and personal interview conducted by North Maharashtra University.

Admission to M.Tech in other specializations is done on the basis of MHT CET conducted by Government of Maharashtra. Candidates need to register and submit their applications online at DTE official website. Those who clear the MHT-CET must register for participating in the CAP rounds conducted at FCs by filling out an Option Form. Colleges are allotted according to a student’s merit list rank and seat availability. Shortlisted candidates must report at the designated ARC and confirm admission to the college and course allotted.

UICT Jalagaon Ph.D Admission 2023

UICT offers Ph.D. program areas like Chemistry and Chemical Engineering & Technology. Candidates must obtain an M.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology for applying to the Ph.D in Chemical Engineering course and an M.Sc. (Chemistry) degree for Ph.D in Chemistry course.

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must appear for the Ph.D Entrance Test (PET) in order to be eligible for admission.

Those who have valid GATE /GPAT and SET/NET/JRF scores are also eligible; however, they are exempted from appearing for the PET.

The application forms can be obtained from the university and candidates must submit the duly filled forms along with all the necessary documents. Applications can also be submitted online by logging on to the official website. Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview at the college. Those who clear the interview have to go through counselling and a document verification process for admission. After document verification, candidates are inducted into ongoing projects or newly commissioned projects executed by the college.

UICT Jalagaon Application Process 2023

For B. Tech (Online):

Candidates can log onto the official website of DTE Maharashtra for applying to the B. Tech programs.
Candidates must register themselves and fill up the application form online for appearing in the MHT CET examinations.
An examination fee of INR 800 (General candidates) and INR 600 (Reserved candidates) must be paid by the applicant online through Credit/Debit card/Net Banking/Mobile Wallets.
The duly filled form must be submitted and candidates must specify the exam venue of their choice.
Candidates must download and print the admit card available on the website and carry it to the examination centre without fail.
Shortlisted candidates must fill and submit the Option Form available for participating in the Common Admission Process (CAP) at a Facilitation Centre (FC).
Candidates can participate in more than one CAP round by filling out Option Forms each time.
