MEC BE/B.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

• BE/B.Tech: The candidate must be pass Higher Secondary or 10+2 pattern or its equivalent with minimum eligibility percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry together. 
• Lateral entry in BE/B.Tech: Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Mathematics or Diploma Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering from a recognized university/ institute.
• Applications of the candidate applying for the course and are found ineligible will be cancelled.

MEC BE/B.Tech Selection Process:

• First a candidate must check for the eligibility criteria. 
• If a candidate is eligible to apply for the admission into the course applies for the TNEA which is state level entrance exam conducted by Anna University every year.
• After filling the application form for TNEA appear for the entrance examination on the specified date.
• After the result is declared the Merit Cut-Offs are declared.
• If the candidate is under the Merit they will be called for counselling.
• If the candidate has applied for the college they are under merit they can now pay the fees to the college and get admission.

The cutoff for previous year is as follows
