At PDPU-SOT, B.Tech is offered as a full-time degree program to those students who fulfill the basic eligibility criteria. Some highlights of this course are:

PDPU-SOT B.Tech Eligibility

Candidate should have 45% aggregate for General category and 40% for reserved category, in aggregate in both theory and practical of Physics & Mathematics (with Chemistry/Biology/Computer/Vocational subject) from a single board.

Scores of JEE Mains must also be submitted to be eligible for admissions.

Note: In case of Letter Grade/Performance Index or GPA instead of percentage marks, are required to submit an equivalence certificate from the issuing institution.

Selection Criteria

Based upon the All India Rank merit list, students are selected upon the JEE Main scores. The list is prepared by the university inviting the selected students for admissions.

How to Apply for B.Tech at PDPU-SOT? 

The application process includes application fee, documents required for submission and steps to be followed for applying and paying the fee.

The following documents must be submitted along with the online application:

• HSC mark sheet
• JEE Rank Card
• JEE Main admit card
• Caste certificate
• Recent and scanned passport-sized photograph.

Application Fee

For students belonging to Gujarat are required to pay an application fee of INR 350. While students from outside of Gujarat are supposed to pay INR 500 for the application.

M.Tech is offered to those students at PDPU-SOT who have GATE scores and fulfill the basic eligibility criteria depending upon the choice of specialization. The following table highlights the different features of the course:

PDPU-SOT M.Tech Admission Procedure

There are 2 phases for admissions to M.Tech program at PDPU-SOT:

Phase I:

Candidates with a valid GATE score: The applicants must attach the GATE scorecard while submitting the online application. Selection of preparation of the merit list will depend upon:

• All India rank for GATE. 
• Marks out of 100 for the GATE scorecard. 
• Aggregate marks of the relevant B.Tech. Degree.

Phase II:

Candidates having a GATE score but were not selected during the first phase, are eligible to apply for the second phase (they are given an additional 50% weightage). Students who do not have GATE scores can also apply for the second phase.

• A single merit list is prepared by the university for both GATE qualified and non-GATE qualified applicants.
• The performance score obtained in the personal interview by the applicant is essentially considered for admission.

Students seeking admission to the Ph.D. program make it to the merit list if they qualify the written test and Personal Interview (PI). Break down of scores is 30% for PI and 70% for the Entrance Test.
