Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology was founded in the year 2008 in Mangalore, Karnataka. The college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technology University, Belgaum.
Alvas Engineering College offers BE course of four-year duration with five specializations, MBA course with four specializations and M.Tech with three specializations respectively.
- Candidates who have completed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) from a recognized Board are considered eligible to get admission to BE course.
- Admission to BE program is given through KCET or COMEDK-UGET.
- Candidates with Diploma in Engineering are eligible to apply for BE Lateral Entry program.
- Admission to BE Lateral Entry is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates who hold Graduation Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission to MBA course.
- Candidates with BE or B.Tech degree in relevant discipline are considered eligible to get admission to the M.Tech program.
- Selection of the candidates for MBA course is done through KMAT/ CAT/ KEA-PGCET.
- For M.Tech program, candidate is selected through the KEA-PGCET score.
- Admission to Management quota seats will be given on the basis of VTU norms.
