School of Law, Gujarat University was established by Sheth A. G. Charity Trust in 1997.It is one of the top colleges in the state of Gujrat. Initially the classes were organized at the school of languages of the University. The school of law was shifted to its own building in the 1982.The School of law is recognized by University Grants Commission. Being a challenging institute in the nation, the school of law has strong faculty members who are experts in the field of legal education.
LL.M. programme in Intellectual Property Right (IPR) was started from the academic year 2005-06. There is a great demand in the corporate sector to deal with the Intellectual Property Rights. Particularly in the area of R & D, specialization in IPR has always been given priority and preference in the selection of law officers of the company.
