GLC Mumbai Admission 2023 is open for the LLB (3 years) program. The last date to register for MAH CET 2023 3-year LLB Centralised Admission Process (CAP) has been extended till July 27, 2023. Also, the last date for registration of Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Foreign Nationals, and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC) candidates has been extended until July 31, 2023. Interested candidates can complete the registration through llb3cap23.mahacet.org. 


Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai was established in 1855. It has the distinction of being the oldest Law College in Asia. GLC offers 3-year and 5-year degree courses in law. Additionally, it offers PG Diploma courses in 3 disciplines. GLC, Mumbai also offers Diploma in Cyber Law, in association with the Asian School of Cyber Law.

  • The application forms for all the courses offered by GLC are available online on the official website.
  • For 3-year LL.B program, the candidates should have passed any degree course from any recognized institution.
  • For 5-year LL.B degree program, the candidates should have done 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For admission to PG Diploma courses, the candidates should have done PG degree course in the relevant discipline.
  • Admissions to both 3-year and 5-year LL.B courses are done on the basis of score of Common Entrance Test (CET).

GLC, Mumbai LL.B Admission 2023

GLC offers LL.B program of 3 and 5-year duration. Candidates seeking admission have to qualify the CET. Final admission will be granted on the basis of candidates’ performance in CET.

Application forms can be downloaded from the official website of the college or can be obtained from the admission office.

3-year LL.B course Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or any equivalent board, with minimum 50% marks. Aided:320 Merit list based on CET. (Minimum CET score required for Gen category student out of 150 is 50; for reserved category students, it is 40 out of 150)
5-year LL-B course Candidates need to secure minimum 50% marks in any degree examination of Mumbai University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by the Mumbai University Aided: 160 and unaided 80

key points regarding LL.B admission:

  • 50% of seats are reserved for candidates from reserved categories from Maharashtra State as per the Government regulations.
  • Candidates from Boards other than the Maharashtra State Board of Higher and Secondary Education are required to obtain 5% marks more than the candidates from the Maharashtra State Board in order to be considered for admission.

GLC, Mumbai PG Diploma Admission 2023

Candidates seeking admission in Diploma courses should obtain and fill admission form available at the college office or at the official website of the college. List of the selected candidates for the admissions based on merit will be displayed on the notice board of the college or college website. Candidates will also be intimated directly on mobile or on their respective e-mail IDs.

GLC, Mumbai Application Process 2023

Candidates can apply for CET by following the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the GLC, Mumbai.
  2. Application form fees for CET is INR 800 (INR 400 for reserved categories).
  3. Admission form is also available at the college campus.
  4. The duly filled application form should be submitted to the college within the prescribed time.

Following documents are required to be attached with the application form:

  • Scorecard of CET
  • The original statement of marks with an attested copy.
  • Original Caste Certificate by students intending to avail benefits of reservation.
  • Passing certificate and certified copy of document indicating the date of birth, for example, school leaving certificate.
  • Two recent passport size photographs
  • In the case of a student migrating from another University, a Provincial Eligibility Certificate issued by Mumbai University will be required.
  • Application for the certificate is to be made to the Registrar of Mumbai University in the prescribed form along with the fees.
  • In the case of a student passing out from a college affiliated to the Mumbai University, a Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from that college will be required. The application for the T.C. should be sent to college in the prescribed form.
  • Foreign students seeking admission should produce their passport and student visa at the time of admission. Those holding a tourist visa or entry visa will not be considered.

Note: Candidates from outside Maharashtra with a degree from universities located in states other than Maharashtra belonging to any category will be considered as an open category.
