DoMS IIT Roorkee accepts CAT scores to offer admission in its MBA programs. First of all, candidates are shortlisted based on the qualifying CAT Cut off decided by the institute. The institute conducts its own GD and Personal Interview rounds under the admission process for the shortlisted candidates. To be eligible for the program; Graduates (or any equivalent professional qualification recognized by UGC) in any discipline with a first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD) from a recognized University are eligible to apply for the MBA program. DoMS IIT Roorkee MBA 2022 Selection process 

In the first round, candidates will be selected based on their performance in CAT 2021. The cut off determined by the Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee will be final in shortlisting the first round of candidates. The final merit list for admission in the MBA program will be based on their aggregate performance in the CAT exam followed by Group Discussion, Interview, and their Work Experience as per the weightage parameters. 

For General Category Students 

  • Final year students of relevant undergraduate programs who are eligible can also apply. 
  • They need to submit a certificate as per the Performa given in Annexure-2A & 2B at the time of Interview/GD.
  • If the marks of the final exam are unavailable at the time of GD/PI due to delay in the announcement of results, then the candidates might be allowed to appear in GD/PI rounds. This will be done based on their aggregate results to a pre-final year in which percentage should not be lesser than as specified above under essential requirements.
  • However, they will be required to submit the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the required percentage or CGPA latest by the specified dates. 
  • Full-Time Sponsored Candidates-Candidates must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a responsible capacity in a Registered Firm/Company/Industry/Educational and Research Institution/Govt./Quasi Govt./Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which they are seeking admission.
  • The Firm/Company/Industry shall either be a public sector undertaking or a public limited company registered in a stock exchange or a private concern whose annual turnover during the past two years exceeds Rs. 5 crores.
  • AICTE should recognize the Educational Institution. The candidate shall submit a duly filled up Annexure-3 by the sponsoring institution.

For Reserved Category Students 

  • Candidates who belong to OBC category are required to submit a photocopy of the category certificate only in the format available on the website.
  • OBC Non-creamy layer certificate should have been issued after 31.03.2018 by a competent authority.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD must submit the requisite certificate from a competent authority as given in Annexure-1 on prescribed format by Govt. of India at the time of Interview/GD.
  • The photocopies of the same are to be sent along with the Completed Application Form.
