Ques

How good are the UIET Kurukshetra University placements?

● Top Answer By Annindita Ghosh on 08 Oct 21

Ans
One of my friends studied at UIET Kurukshetra University. According to him, it is a terrific institute that provides exceptional placement opportunities.  The faculty here are highly experienced.  Students of UIET are employed in the army, ISRO, BARC, and many PSUs.  For CSE and ECE departments, the placement opportunities are offered to 50% of the batch. The major recruiter here is Infosys, offering an average package of 3.5 LPA.  You can also try for off-campus recruitment or prepare for GATE.  In the Biotech department, around 15% of the students receive placements in several startups. An average package of 3 LPA is offered. If you are unable to get admissions in any of the IIT, NITs, IIITs, DTU, or in top private engineering colleges such as VIT, BITS then you may opt for UIET KUK without any further hesitation.

Which is better for a BTech in mechanical engineering, Chandigarh University or UIET KUK?

● Top Answer By Sushmita Mondal on 12 Jan 21

Ans
Chandigarh University (CU), the youngest university to be ranked by NIRF. It is placed at 84th in the NIRF ranking of 2020 for engineering institutes. The university has also got NAAC A+ accreditation, which gives it international recognition.  Studying at CU as one of its students has its own perks and benefits. Students and teachers from not only CU but other universities also know the value of a CU degree in your resume. Categories Chandigarh University UIET KUK Placement Percentage 90% 80% Highest CTC 35 LPA 28 LPA Average CTC 5 LPA 3.5 LPA Recruiting Companies Samsung, Wipro, Essel, Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Hyundai, Amazon, Mahindra, etc. Adani, Aricent, IBM, Infosys, L&T, etc. Without a doubt, CU is far better than UIET KUK for the B.E. Mechanical Engineering course. The brand name of CU is enough to add feathers to your resume. The best part about CU is that it is an entirely student-oriented university. A few perks of CU which gives it an upper hand over UIET KUK are listed below: CU is parallel with technology. They have advanced laboratories even for the mechanical students. CU inculcates practical learning in students by giving them good industrial exposure. For example, the industrial visit to the Gurugram plant which is Asia’s biggest manufacturing plant of Maruti Suzuki.  Top companies like Samsung, Wipro, Godrej, Tafe, Amazon, etc. frequently recruit students from CU. CU prepares students for the competition by organizing technical events and allowing students to participate in the various events or fests to enhance their extra-curricular activities, skill-sets, and knowledge. It also organises expert lectures from prominent personalities and conducts events for different social-causes. In CU, you will find yourself learning from the best professors of the university. CU also has a well-equipped library with all genres of books.  The whole campus is WIFI enabled. The Mechanical Engineering (ME) from CU is the most promising program to take. However, a disadvantage of CU is the fee structure. The fees for the BE in Mechanical Engineering is Rs.6.4 Lakh and the fees for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in UIET KUK is Rs. 4.2 Lakh. The quality of education is unbeatable in CU. They provide a better engineering education than UIET KUK.
