NITTTR Kolkata Ph.D. Admissions

To be eligible for admissions to the M.Tech program, the students must score 55% in B.E/B.Tech in a relevant discipline. Also, preference will be given to only those who score 55% in B.E/B.Tech and have qualified GATE.

Ph.D. admissions are offered to those applicants who either qualify UGC-NET or JRF or SET (for direct admission) or to those who have completed a relevant master’s degree. Indirect admissions include an entrance followed by an interview.

Eligibility Criteria

The common eligibility criteria for all 4 specializations is securing 55% in B.E or B.Tech in a relevant discipline. Following additional and specialization specific criteria have been given below in detail:

Multimedia & Software Systems: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent from recognized University in Computer Science & Engineering, IT, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent. GATE qualified applicants would be called for an interview or a written test.
Mechatronics Engineering: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution in the area of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Manufacturing Technology: Graduates holding B.E. B.Tech or AMIE in Mechanical/Production/Automobile/ Industrial Engineering and Technology.
Structural Engineering: Graduates holding B.E. B.Tech or AMIE in Civil Engineering.

Admission Process

Applications are accepted at the institute’s campus. A pdf format of which is available online. Admissions are offered through MAKAUT counselling.

How to Apply?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

Documents Required

Scanned photograph and signature
Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.
