Asian Workers Development Institute (AWDI) was established in the year 1981 under the Bastia Memorial Trust. It is affiliated to Sambalpur University. The college offers PGDM, PG Diploma Industrial Personnel Management (PGDIRPM), PG Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS), Diploma in Environmental Education Management (DEEM) and B.Lib. in various specializations.

CAT/MAT or JEE score is mandatory to secure admission in PGDM program followed by the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The admission to Diploma in Environmental Education and Management (DEEM) program is granted on first come first serve basis. The total number of seats
offered is 24. The application form can only be obtained from the institute’s office on cash payment.
