The Vidya Vikas College of Education, Namakkal was established in 2005 with a view to cater to the needs of the Rural area Graduates. It is affiliated to Periyar University and it is a self-financed college. The institute is approved by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Master of education (M.Ed) courses.
