Umang Red Cross Institute of Special Education, Faridkot was established in 1920. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers one year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course. The main aim of the college is to develop professionals for general as well as special education within a broad perception of education in the current millennium.

This course will educate and train human resources to enable them to acquire knowledge and develop competencies and skills to impart education and training effectively to all children including children with special needs especially children with Mental Retardation. College has a beautiful infrastructure. The Library has at present 2, 000 reference books, 25 Journals from various reputed Institute in and out India.
