St John College of Education, Rangareddy was founded by Rt. Rev. Dr. John Gollapalli. He is the recipient of many National and International awards. The college has established itself as an institute of repute in the area of school and teacher education. The College is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated to the Osmania University.

 The main objective of the college is qualitative improvement of school education through innovative pre-service and in-service teacher training programs and relevant research, development and extension activities.
