Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Ajmer was established in the year 1963. It is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU). It is a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT), New Delhi. RIE Ajmer offers two integrated programs, viz. B.Sc-B.Ed. and BA-B.Ed including a B.Ed. program at the undergraduate level. For postgraduate studies, the college offers an M.Ed. program.

The minimum eligibility criteria for integrated BA-B.Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed courses is 10+2 with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognized board.
B.Ed program requires graduation in Arts/ Science or Engineering with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognized university.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2015, 2016 or appearing /appeared in 2022 are also eligible to apply for BA-B.Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed courses.
Admission to all the courses is based on the score in CEE conducted by NCERT followed by preparation of merit list and counselling.
Candidates are selected on the basis of CEE score and aggregate marks in the last qualifying exam. 60% weightage will be given to CEE score and remaining 40% for marks in the qualifying examination.
In case of a tie, selection will be based on the score of Teaching Aptitude test. Further tie will be decided on the basis of age.

RIE Ajmer B.Sc-B.Ed, BA-B.Ed & B.Ed Admission 2023

RIE Ajmer offers full-time integrated courses, viz, B.Sc-B.Ed and BA-B.Ed for the duration of four years.at the undergraduate level. It also offers B.Ed course for the duration of two years.

B.Sc-B.Ed is a five-year integrated program offered in two groups, namely, Biological Group (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry) and Physical Group (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). B.Ed is also offered in two groups, i.e, Science-Mathematics and Social Science-Language group. Admission is based on the score in CEE followed by counselling conducted by NCERT.

Key Points:

50 seats are available for B.Sc-B.Ed. and B.A-B.Ed. courses.
Only Bachelor degree (10+2+3/ 10+2+4 pattern) holders are eligible to apply for B.Ed. program.
B.A-B.Ed. students need to opt one Language and two Social Science subjects as optional.

RIE Ajmer M.Ed Admission 2023

RIE Ajmer offers a two-year M.Ed. program at PG level. BA-B.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed, B.El.Ed and B.Ed degree holders are eligible to pursue the M.Ed. program provided they have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate. Selection of candidates for M.Ed. program is done through NCERT-CEE and its respective counselling.

Key Points:

RIE Ajmer Application Process 2023

Students applying for any of the courses offered by RIE, Ajmer are required to visit the NCERT website and fill the online application form for the Common Entrance Exam (CEE). A valid email ID and phone number will be required for the first step of application.

The board provides login credentials to the registered candidates through e-mail and SMS which can be used to proceed with the application process. The detailed process of application through NCERT CEE is as follows:

Visit the official website of RIE, Ajmer and Click on CEE tab on the home page.
Click on ‘Registration Form’ link on CEE website and register using valid email-id and phone number.
Fill the necessary details and select the exam center.
Upload recent photograph and signatures in JPG or JPEG format.
Make payment of INR 800 (INR 400 for SC/ST/PWD) at the nearest HDFC bank branch.
Save the application form for further admission proceedings.

Note: In case, the candidates have qualified for CEE. They have to visit RIE, Ajmer along with application form and other required documents.
