Regional Institute Of Education, Bhubaneswar was established in the year 1963 under National Council Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

The RIE Bhubaneswar provides education in 2-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), 4-year integrated courses in B.Sc. B.Ed., B.A. B.Ed., and Master of Education (M.Ed.), one-year Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling, M.Phil in Education and Pre-Ph.D. in Education programs.
