Arputha Jothi College of Teacher Education (AJCTE), Namakkal was established in 2007 and is running under the Joseph Chellamuthu Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU) and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college offers Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) and Diploma in Education (D. Ed.) programs. The admission process for this college starts every year in the month of June and School starts in July.

The college has encouraged both Academic and Non-Academic Activities like as improving Communication Skills, Grammer Classes, Spoken English, Skill Development Courses, Personality Development Courses and Extra Curricular Activities. AJCTE has hostel facilities especially for women candidates.
