Latest Update: XISS Ranchi Admission has begun for PGDM Programs and the last date to apply is February 22, 2024. CAT 2023 Admit Card will be released on November 7, 2023 and the exam is scheduled for November 26, 2023. XAT 2024 registration has begun, and the last date to apply is November 30, 2023 and the exam is scheduled for January 7, 2024.

During XISS Ranchi 2023 placement drive, a total of 224 students were placed and 10 students received a pre-placement offer. XISS Ranchi average package stood at INR 9.40 LPA and XISS Ranchi highest package stood at INR 20.50 LPA. Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) Ranchi offers a full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program for the duration of 2 years. The PGDM program is offered in a total of 5 disciplines.

XISS offers PGDM program in 5 disciplines namely Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Information Technology, Finance, and Marketing.

Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examinations are eligible to apply.

XISS Ranchi PGDM (MBA) Admission Guidelines

The selection criteria for Admissions to the PGDM Programs of the institution are based on XAT, CMAT, or CAT scores followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews.

XISS Ranchi will release a list of shortlisted candidates on the basis of CAT, XAT, or CMAT scores on its official website @xiss.ac.in.
Shortlisted candidates who meet the CAT, XAT & CMAT cut-offs will be invited for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. XISS Ranchi will also notify the interview schedule on its official website.
After the GDPI round, the final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in their past academic record, Common Entrance Tests, Group Discussion, and Personal Interviews.
Selected candidates will have to confirm their seats by submitting the admission fees.

On the XISS application window, click on the “Apply Now” button and register with the necessary details.
Candidates are also required to pay the online registration fees (non-refundable) of INR 2,100 using Credit Card, Debit Card or Internet banking option using secure internet payment gateway.
Fill in the application form thoroughly as the institute will not accept the wrong or incomplete application form.

Prescribed Course Work

The entire PGDM Program of XISS Ranchi is divided into a full-time regular 6 trimesters of 4 months each. The Institution also offers Internships during summer vacation for the duration.

Ans. Candidates appearing for the final year of their qualifying examination will be called for the interview, however, he/she must submit either a copy of their admit card or a letter from their respective institute or college. According to my friends studying at XIMB RM, the college is not called XIMB RM anymore. The last batch to pass from the college with this college name was the 2015-2017 batch. It has been renamed to Xavier School of Rural Management (XSRM) under the umbrella of Xavier University, Bhubaneshwar. This split has not had any impact on the branding. If you are concerned with the quality of education and faculty, let me assure you that those have remained the same. When it comes to rural management, you should know that it is more like a product differentiation from an actual MBA. It is also often known as an MBA+ where you will get to explore and gain knowledge on subjects like sociology, development, planning in rural areas and many other fields. This will open up a number of opportunities for you to explore in the development sector which you perhaps would not be able to explore in other MBA courses. Categories XSRM Course Fee 13.8 lakh Highest CTC 13.2 - 17 LPA Average CTC 8-9 LPA Recruiting Companies Amul, Godrej Agrovet Limited, ITC Limited, Mapro Foods, ADM Agro Industries, Tolaram Group, etc. As far as XISS Finance is concerned, you should get in touch with a postgraduate student from that college to get to know more about it. One of my friends studied at XISS, I can share some details about this institution. XISS has still not been able to make its name among the top colleges of India despite being such an old institute. Being an average college, it has average placements and in fact, every student doesn't get placed. You will also find politics and discrimination in XISS among students during the placements. It doesn't provide required exposure to MBA students which is very important for their careers. The campus is very small and there are no hostels available inside the campus. XISS is located in Ranchi which is a disadvantage as the city is not developed and very few facilities available when compared to bigger cities like Delhi, Bangalore, etc. XISS has a reservation system and 50% of the seats are reserved for Christian SC/ST students. Their fees are also lesser than general category students. The students from backward caste comprise almost 70% of the total students in this college. It will be better to avoid XISS and take admission in other B-schools like Army Institute of Management, Kolkata which might provide better facilities and placement opportunities to its students. Do thorough research before making a decision.
