Venkateshwara Institute of Technology (VIT) is the Engineering wing of the renowned Venkatashwara Group of Institutions based in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2007 and is affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow, and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
Venkateshwara Institute of Technology, Meerut offers a plethora of courses in the undergraduate and postgraduate level in various disciplines. Currently there are seven diploma programs that are being offered by the institute with an intake capacity of 60 seats per course. B.Tech program is offered in up to eight specializations with 60 seats per course. Additionally, there are BCA, BBA, B.Com, B.Ed., B.P.Ed., B. Lib., and B.Sc. courses that are being offered at the UG level. PG courses offered by the institute include 3 M. Tech specializations, 3 M.Sc. courses, M.Ed., MBA, and Ph.D. programs offered in up to 6 specializations.
- Candidates seeking admission under Management Quota must apply through the institute level application process only.
- Admission for B. Tech, M. Tech and MBA courses is through UPTU/ AKTU counselling.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD) are allowed 5% relaxation in the minimum marks eligibility criteria. However, such candidates must produce caste / category certificate issued by the competent authority.
- B. Tech candidates are selected on the basis of UPSEE score through AKTU counselling.
- B. Tech candidates seeking admission under Management quota must secure at least 60% marks in the PCM group in the last qualifying exam.
- M. Tech candidates are selected on the basis of GATE score.
- BCA candidates must have Mathematics at 10+2 level, which is additionally a basic eligibility criterion.
- Candidates applying for MBA are selected on the basis of several parameters. 10 percent credit is given to marks obtained in the last qualifying exam, 40 percent to CET score, 20 percent credit given to Group Discussion, and the remaining 25 percent given to personal interview.
- Selection of eligible candidates to rest of the courses will be based on merit in the last qualifying examination.
- Reservation is provided as per AKTU/ UPTU norms.
