VEMU Institute of Technology has nearly over 3000 students enrolled in all the programmes offered by them. The institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Diploma Polytechnic programs. In addition to this, the institute also provides a 3 years B.Tech programme for diploma holders. The admissions are done through web counselling and the candidate has to qualify an Entrance exam called as AP EAMCET.

For B.Tech, the candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in 10+2 in the prescribed group subjects and selection is based on the marks and subsequent rank in AP EAMCET.
For B.Tech (Lateral Entry), the candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in 10th in the prescribed group subjects and selection is based on the marks and subsequent rank in Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders ( AP ECET FDH).
For M.Tech, the candidate must have passed in Graduation and selection is based on the marks and subsequent rank in GATE or AP PGECET.
For MBA, the candidates must have passed in graduation and selection is based on merit rank at the Entrance Test conducted by University of Andhra Pradesh or based on the marks and subsequent rank in AP ICET.
For Polytechnic Diploma, the candidate must have scored at least 50% marks and the selection is based on the marks and subsequent rank in AP POLYCET.

Candidate who seeks admission in B.Tech courses must have passed 10+2 examination or passed 2 years intermediate examination conducted by Board of Intermediate Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in the prescribed group subjects i.e. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are eligible.
The diploma holder candidate who seeks admission in 2nd year B.Tech courses through Lateral Entry must have passed 10th examination with at least 50% marks in the prescribed group subjects.
SC/ST candidates are given a relaxation of 10%.

Considering 12th result marks and subsequent rank in AP EAMCET for B.Tech and 10th result marks and subsequent rank in AP ECET for lateral entry.
Admission for Category A Seats for B.Tech: 70% of the offered seats are called Category - A seats or convener seats for which admissions are conducted by the Convener - EAMCET followed by web counselling.
Admission for Category B Seats for B.Tech: 30% of the offered seats are called Category- B seats or Management Quota Seats, filled by the management of the college following the guidelines stipulated by APSCHE, Hyderabad.

The application process is to complete online and the candidate must follow the following steps.

Visit the APSCHE portal sche.ap.gov.
Click on the respective examination application form link.
Pay the required application form fee and start filling the application form.
Candidates must have the necessary documents ready to upload them as required. The documents must be attested as per the instructions.
Once the formalities have been done, submit the form online.
The candidate will get a unique Application number.
The date to download the admit card would be given to the candidate and it must be downloaded on the prescribed date.
The candidate must sit for the respective exam on the given date in order to be selected for online counselling.
