Sterling Institute of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai is an AICTE recognised institute, affiliated to University of Mumbai. In the year 2018, Business Standard has graded “A” for the management program of SIMS Navi Mumbai. 

Sterling institute runs two programs viz MMS & MCA at Navi Mumbai. Admission to both programs is done through Maharashtra CET, conducted by DTE, Government of Maharashtra. 

Aspirants can fill the application form online at the DTE MH-CET website and appear for the test. After obtaining the scores, applicants will have to appear centralised admission process (CAP) conducted by DTE Maharashtra. 

Interested applicants will have to fill the application form of CAP and enter the course they want to pursue. Once get allotted, selected applicants will have to visit the nearest Admission Reporting Centre for document verification and pay the seat confirmation fee. This would be later adjusted with course fee. Then applicant will have to report at SIMS Mumbai for document submission and official admission procedure. 

For MMS (MAH-MMS-CET), valid score card of CAT and ATMA are also acceptable; accordingly the CAP form has to be filled entering the respective score details. 

For MCA (MAH-MCA-CET), applicant must have Mathematics as the subject during 10+2 or graduation.

Sterling Institute of Management Studies Navi Mumbai offers two year full time Masters in Management Studies in various specialisations namely: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Operations & Information Technology. 

SIMS Mumbai also offers full time three years Masters program in Computer Application. The program is framed to give an understanding of design and use of computer applications including soft skills, aptitude and planning. 

Admission for MMS and MCA programs will be facilitated by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognised university by AIU. For backward class and PwD candidates from Maharashtra, graduation score criteria is relaxed to 45% from 50%. 

On the basis of merit (MAH-CET scores), admission will be conducted.

• Counselling for MMS takes place through CAP (Centralised Admission Process) Candidate registered through DTE automatically get registered for Centralised Admission Process. 
• Candidate need to carry all original documents mentioned in the application form along with a set of hardcopies. 
  • Three sets, each of SSC, HSC and Graduation mark sheets
  • Three sets, each of SSC, HSC and Graduation passing certificates
  • Eligibility and Migration Certificate for students from other universities
  • Prescribed Score card
  • Affidavit for candidates belonging to Minority Quota
  • GAP Certificate wherever applicable
  • Demand Draft for the amount of fees payable (Admission fee)

• Based on the cutoff set by the DTE, The first provisional merit list shall be displayed on the website which would be the relative position of the candidate.
• Category wise seats shall be made available for the candidates for each institute at the official website. 
• Candidates need to fill an online application form to participate in the CAP round(s). 
• Candidates can fill in their choice of SIMS Pune on higher priority and confirm it. 
• Once confirmed, they shall be considered for allotment in the respective CAP Rounds.
• First phase of allotment shall be released. 
• If selected, candidate needs to report to Admission Reporting Centre to complete the document verification and payment of seat acceptance fee. 
• Thereafter such candidates can go to the allotted institute and complete the further procedure and formalities of admission on the allotted seat. 
• If the option alloted is not SIMS Mumbai, candidate can participate for the next phase of allotment also. 

Steps to apply Online:

• Visit the official website of MAH-CET, DTE Maharashtra. 
• Click on the registration window and enter personal details like email ID , phone number in order to generate User Id and password.
• A verification link would be sent to the registered Email ID. Click on the link, it will follow to the application form link. 
• Re-login with the ID and password generated and start filling the application form. 
• Upload scanned photograph and signature. 
• Select the program (MMS/MCA)
• Pay the application fee online (Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking) of INR 1000/- for General candidates and INR 800/- for reserved category and PwD candidates. 
• After successful completion of filling details, submit the application form and take a hardcopy print of the application form.
