Course Information

Course Description

Step 1: Enter all the details Online by browsing URL http://kea.kar.nic.in on the web by selecting "PGCET". After completion of all the details candidates will receive an application ID and Password to their registered email address.

Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of the recent passport size Colour Photo and Signature in JPEG format separately. Fill in the details with the utmost care.

Step 3: Download and take the printout of the Challan copy which is the triplicate. Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of INR 650/- for General/OBC & INR 500/- for SC/ST. The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in any of the branches of specified Banks. The Bank will retain its copy of the Challan and handover the remaining two copies of the Challan to the candidates.

Step 4: After ascertaining the payment details from the bank, candidates will be allowed to download the Admission Ticket.

SSLC Marks Card	SSLC or 10th standard or equivalent examination marks card.
Caste/Caste Income Certificate	Candidates seeking reservation benefit should produce a Caste Certificate in Form ‘D’ in case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes; in Form ‘E’ in case of Category -1; a Caste Income Certificate in Form ‘F’ for Other Backward Classes such as 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, issued by the concerned Jurisdictional Tahasildar, in accordance with the Government order No. Sa Ka E 225 BCA 2000 dated 30th March 2002, as amended from time to time. Validity period of Caste / Income Certificate are as per the Circular No. SWD155BCA2012.
Qualifying Degree Marks Card	Qualifying degree marks cards.
Study Certificate	Study Certificate to show that the candidate has studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years from 1st standard to 12th standard or qualifying examination issued by the Head of the institution. Further, School study certificates should be countersigned by the concerned Block Educational Officer (BEO)/Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) compulsorily. Rural Study Certificate	Candidates who claim a seat under rural category will have to obtain a rural study certificate from the respective school / high school issued by the head of the institution which should be Countersigned by the concerned Block Educational Officer (BEO).
Kannada Medium Certificate	Candidates claiming the benefit of Kannada Medium reservation Should produce a certificate for having studied for 10 full academic years in Kannada medium from 1^st standard to 10^th standard issued by the Head of the educational institution and such certificate should be countersigned by the respective BEO or Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI).
Other Certificates	Documents to be enclosed for any other claims of the candidates

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 2 years Full-time MCA lateral Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

A graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline securing at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages from a recognized university
Honors degree under 10+2+4 pattern from a recognized university under UGC act having at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages
Candidates who have passed Bachelor / Master degree through correspondence / Open University system from any University recognized by law are exempted from 10+2 pattern. The duration of the degree must be 3 years and 2 years respectively
Candidates who pass a bachelor / master degree in University system in the single sitting pattern are not eligible
In case of SC/ST/Cat 1 candidates, there will be relaxation in the aggregate of marks obtained as per the Govt. norms.
Admission to the program will be effected through MBA PGCET or state-approved admission test from time to time.

Entrance Exam:

Management Quota on the basis of K MAT or any other government and UGC and AICTE recognized scorecards.
Government Quota on the basis of PGCET or state-approved admission test from time to time.
