Established in 1983, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad is a leading autonomous and not-for-profit management institute located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. EDII has been set up by apex financial institutions – the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and the State Bank of India (SBI) under the aegis of the Government of Gujarat. EDII has been recognized by the UGC and AIU. The institute offers a total of three courses - PGDM Entrepreneurship, PGDM Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development and Fellow Programme in Management( FPM). For PGDM shortlisting, Candidates are selected based on CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/ GMAT scores and performance in PI round. Admission to the doctoral level FPM program is based on Entrepreneurship Research Aptitude Test (ERAT) scores followed by research proposal, presentation and personal interview. EDII PGDM programmes encourage the students to get into entrepreneurship roles and launch their own ventures. More than 25 startups launched by EDII students have already carved a niche and are leading their business organizations offering jobs to many others.Very few students at EDII participate in the placement process although 45-50 companies line-up to make offers to the EDII students. So far, EDII has trained over 1000 entrepreneur trainers, motivators, 600 NGO functionaries for creating micro-enterprises and over 1500 teachers teaching entrepreneurship courses in colleges and universities in India and abroad.

EDII Ahmedabad Fellowships

In an endeavour to help meritorious students pursue the course despite financial constraints, the Institute has made provision for offering limited fellowship support on merit cum means basis.

• Project Startup Facilitation Grant: EDII provides limited financial assistance to enable students to initiate / start own ventures. Such
support will be given to students having viable and feasible business ideas, and as recommended by the fellowship committee.
Preference is given to women students and first generation entrepreneurs.
