One of my friends studied at Amity Business School Noida. According to her, it is good because of its infrastructure, placements, faculty, and all the modern facilities.

Amity University runs three different B-schools - Amity Business School (ABS), Amity International Business School (AIBS), and Amity Global Business School (AGBS).

The first two schools run from its main Amity University campus in Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar, UP. AGBS has many branches throughout the country including one on the Noida campus.

Amity Business School, Noida has published its placement records for the academic year 2019-20 according to which –

6.8 - 13.44 lakhs

Highest CTC

15-23 LPA

Average CTC

During the duration of the course, you will get to improve your overall personality, language skills (both written and spoken) along with other soft skills to take long strides in your corporate career ahead. Of course, it cannot be compared with the higher-ranked government B-schools, but it is surely a good mid-tier private B-school.

Amity Business School, Noida offers an MBA in sales and marketing, which is decent in terms of placement but has certain drawbacks too. The points below give a brief overview of the institute, stating some of its advantages and disadvantages.

  • Firstly, MBA in sales and marketing at Amity Business School is very costly. Both the tuition and hostel fees are extremely costly, because of which most students can’t afford a course from the institute.
  • Amity Business School provides an overall good exposure in all industrial sectors.
  • The placements in Amity Business School, Noida are very good in terms of packages offered and overall placement percentage. Every decent student gets an assured placement easily after their course completion.

Therefore, Amity Business School is a decent choice for an MBA in marketing, being a private institute.

My cousin who used to be a student of Amity University is all praise for the same. However, he advises that before you finally make your mind, you must decide what your interests are and what institute you want to get admitted to.

The campus of Amity University, Noida has five institutes:

  • Amity Business School
  • Amity Global Business School
  • Amity International Business School
  • CII – School of Logistics
  • RICS

The record of placements of Amity University, Noida is quite enviable. The average salary package is 6-7 LPA. During the final semester, my cousin and several and several batchmates of his applied for off-campus placements as chances of hitting jackpot is palpable if applied for off-campus placements. Not everyone would like to start off with a sales profile. Few got a sales profile in campus placement.

If you're considering pursuing an MBA general from Amity Business School Noida and have 3 years of experience in the IT industry, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • An MBA can be a valuable degree to have, especially if you plan to stay in your current job for a long time. It can help you gain a deeper understanding of business concepts and improve your managerial and leadership skills, which can be useful in the long run.
  • However, it's important to note that the value of an MBA degree has been decreasing over the years, as the world moves towards a more skill-based environment. Therefore, it's important to carefully consider whether pursuing an MBA is the right choice for you.
  • In some cases, companies may use an MBA as a criterion for promotions or higher positions. So, if you plan to stay in the corporate world for a long time, an MBA may be worth pursuing to improve your chances of getting promoted or securing a higher position.
  • On the other hand, if you plan to start your own business or pursue a career in a field that doesn't require an MBA, then you may not need to pursue this degree. In such cases, it may be more worthwhile to focus on developing skills and gaining practical experience in your chosen field.
  • Ultimately, whether an MBA is worth it for you depends on your individual career goals and circumstances. It's important to carefully evaluate the potential benefits and drawbacks of pursuing an MBA before making a decision.

In conclusion, while pursuing an MBA general from Amity Business School Noida can be beneficial for some, it's important to consider your individual circumstances before making a decision. While an MBA can help you gain a deeper understanding of business concepts and improve your career prospects, it may not always be necessary, especially if you plan to pursue a career outside of the corporate world.

My friend from school used to be a student of the UPES Dehradun. The university is known for its core branches as well as its management sector. Both are private universities, however, so the cost of studying can be a little high.

The two universities are very different and it would not be a good idea to draw comparisons between them. The flagship programs Amity and UPES offer are not in any way related which makes comparing them a far cry.

UPES Dehradun would be a good option if you want to study petroleum-related courses however if you are want to pursue a conventional MBA, then Amity Business School, Noida would serve fine. UPES offers MBA with specializations like aviation, business analytics. UPES is a good university for programs that are more based on domains.

This year, the highest package granted to a student of UPES was INR 45 LPA, the average being INR 5.25 LPA. The top recruiters were LTI, Wipro, and Deloitte.
