Al-Barkaat Institute of Management Studies was founded by the Al-Barkaat Education Society in the year 2004 and is located in the city of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The institute offers MBA in 6 specializations, which is a 2-year AICTE approved program affiliated to UPTU.

- Admission to the MBA program is done through UPSEE conducted by AKTU and second preference will be given to national management aptitude tests like CAT/MAT/CMAT.
- Candidates who have successfully completed their graduation in any stream with a minimum score of 50% can apply for this course.
- 50% seats are filled by AKTU through counselling based on candidates’ UPSEE score.
- Rest of the 50% seats are filled through the entrance exam conducted by the institute for minority community students.
- Those from the non-minority community can also sit for the test and get admission if seats from the minority community remain vacant.
- Merit cum means scholarship is provided to meritorious minority students and those coming from poor economic backgrounds in accordance with the rules laid down by the government.
